Was she risking her heart for a liar?

Molly McCabe helped people. As director of the neighborhood community center, she loved making the world a better place. So when James Morgan, a powerful lawyer with political aspirations and a smile that sent her heart thudding, stepped into her center, she knew that he wasn’t the man for her. And yet, her eyes were drawn to him over and over again. There was a certain something about him that lured her closer – like a moth to a flame.

Will she get burned? Was James Morgan going to crush her heart under his brutal heel? Or was he a political unicorn? Was he honest and hoping to make the world a better place too? Or was James Morgan just another politician, willing to lie and cheat in order to attain power?

Molly is the director of the community center near the Rose Garden Apts. James is a high powered lawyer running for Congress who’d like Molly’s endorsement. He is extremely attracted to Molly, but she’s nervous about his intents. They endure a raft of bumps and twists as their relationship develops, but nothing like a vicious mother who wants Molly out of James’ life. She is devious and evil and would prefer to see James elected so she can use him for her own purposes! James will NOT let his mother ruin his relationship with Molly! Great handling of the tensions between politics and the communities that rely on elected officials! Loved it - and so will you!

I enjoyed the book. It had romance, love and suspense. I couldn't put the book down until I read it all.
loved how all the people from previous book were still a part of the book.

I am not very good at writing reviews. I have read every Elizabeth Lennox book. I love her believable characters. I especially love to read her books that connect strong women who are friends and, or related.
There was politics in this one. However it did relate to the story. The political issues were current and non partisan.
I always have enjoyed the easy and beautiful romance in Ms. Lennox books. I have noticed that in the last few books the sex scenes are a bit more vivid. I am not a fan. That is my personal opinion. I will continue to, and look forward to more books from this author .
I also noted some inconsistencies in this book regarding the description of the female lead character. The editor in this instance did not catch the different hair color, eyes etc. I, too, would like to see how some characters are at the end of the book.
All in all, an enjoyable read!

Elizabeth lennox, you have given us a truly not filled set of three tales that are uplifting and showing the beauty of three women and the men who met and loved them to very happy ending!
I applaud the stores and will continue to re-read them to give me great joy!
Thank you,

Elizabeth Lennox did a fantastic job writing this story. I loved how James, while running for the Senate, ran a clean campaign, had amazing views on policy, and yet no mention of a political party (no nastiness of degrading one party or the other). Molly is a fabulous woman with a whole lot of heart, giving much to the community. They make a awesome team, if some people will just let them be.

I highly recommend reading this book (and all her other stories). She had a fabulous writing style that pulls you in quickly and completely. You will absolutely love this happy ending.

I love how she develops the character's personalities, and makes them so believable. I would add one more thing to the ending. Spoiler Alert, don't keep reading unless you already read the book. I would love to have seen a scene where Mom is watching the swearing in from her prison cell, dressed in prison orange with scraggly hair, and prison issue flip flops, screaming that she should have been there............................I love seeing the villans getting their comeuppance.

The ending was too quick.. one sentence mentioning off to an island to get married… then jumping to children and the presidency. Maybe the last chapter could have included the voting against the corrupt senator and winning the election.. also, maybe an update on how the Center had expanded , who had helped in looking after it when they got married and also did the mom end up in prison. Yep, one more chapter was needed.

Good book and thoroughly enjoy reading EL books

I've waited till I finished book 3 before posting a review, and I've decided on 4 stars and not 5 because this last one wasn't quite as good as the other two. Molly's eyes changed colour and James became James Monroe at one point, so a good proof reader is required.

However, on the whole this was a good series although it won't be one I read again as I like more angst in my stories. Not being American, the politics went right over my head.

The prolific stories Ms. Lennox writes are easy to read EXCEPT for the constant mistakes found in nearly every book she writes. Locations change, names of characters change, and in this particular book, in Chapter nine James knows Molly met his mother, but a few chapters afterwards it's complete news to him!

The author churns out a lot of books, but perhaps it's time to slow down the conveyor belt a little to take the time to review and ensure that her plot lines run true, and stupid mistakes such as this are caught early.

I'm at the point now that it's unlikely I am going to continue buying her books because of the many basic mistakes and plotline errors I keep catching in these stories, which could have been easily sorted by a having a second pair of eyes reviewing them, and then bringing any issues to the author's attention. Sadly Ms. Lennox seems to have put quantity over quality where her work is concerned, and the quality is getting worse as the quantity increases.
