4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 317 ratings

One strange trip can put everything at risk

Coming back from a camping trip with his friends, Lucky John finds a strange woman has been murdered inside his house. When the identity of that woman is confirmed as a 'fan' of his, Lucky takes it upon himself to figure out exactly what happened to the ill fated female.

What he finds is a twisty, turning case that flicks him all the way up to Atlantic City, where the only thing more dangerous than the casinos are the people who run them. With a Texas Ranger who has a deep connection to Mia tailing him, Lucky will find the truth of all of this to be way more explosive and closer to home than he ever imagined.

With an ending so shocking that it will change everything forever, LUCKY SEVEN is not to be missed!

Mark Stone is a Southern guy at heart, having grown up bouncing between South Carolina and it's low country and the sunny beaches of Naples with his grandfather every summer. Though his grandfather has since passed on, Mark holds the memories he made along the Gulf coast close to his heart.

At present, he's still in South Carolina, living with his amazing wife and their terrier. When he's not writing, he's out on the water, hiking out in nature, or planning the next of his endless visits back to Florida.

One day he hopes to move there again, and maybe even open a restaurant.

He thinks his grandfather would have liked that.

Lucky finds himself again trying to solve a murder. Well written, with a good cast of characters! I am looking forward to the next book in this series as Lucky and Mia have acknowledged there feelings for each other!

Every other paragraph included either she ran her fingers through her hair OR he ran his fingers through his hair!!!!! So UGH!!!
Other than that another typical story from this author. As usual with these prolific authors, some of his books I found more interesting and better written than others. However some are also better proofread than others.
All in all I find his stories kinda fun and mostly enjoy them.

Another great book by Mark Stone. It was fun returning to the tales of Lucky John. He's such an interesting character & I enjoy reading about his adventures. Can't wait to read Lucky Eight.

The storyline was interesting and I'm sure I will continue reading this series. My biggest problem, and why I took a star off, is because the Ranger in the story kept switching names from Michael to Matt and back. It seems to me that a writer, who creates the character, should remember his name. At first it confused me but I soon learned there was only one ranger although I'm still not sure what his name is supposed to be. Why wasn't this caught in proofreading? I expect better from a professional writer but I'll let you off the hook this time.

Acts of deviltry and daring; double-cross; psychopathy; murder; family ties and fragments as John and company track down a mad bomber targeting John and those he loves.

Did this book even go through proofreading ? If so whoever did it should be fired / let go. A lot and I mean A Lot of wrong words throughout the book, plus the changing of one of the char.'s names back and forth was very confusing. Only reason I give this 3 stars is the series as a whole has been good up to this point. Willing to give the next book in this series a try but if there is Not a lot of improvement I will be drooping this author.
