Beckett’s past catches up to him and his family sends him on vacation, while Eliza is going to get away for the anniversary of her husband’s death. Strangely they end up next to each other for their vacation. Through ups and downs, Carrie Ann Ryan writes a great HEA!!

One thing leads to another and they end up together. Their relationship continues once they return home and both find the love they need. Loved the story.

Beckett and Eliza have been friends for quite a while. But both need some serious time away from everything going on in their lives. Secrets have been revealed that changes so much persepective on the past. Stress is huge for both of them.

Unbeknownst to them, they are sent to the same resort owned by a "friend" of one of their family members. When they see each other on the beach the attraction both have been hiding come out.

They decide to see where things go and have a vacation fling. What happens when they get home tho? Will they continue or will what happens on vacation stay on vacation?

You'll have to read the book to get all the answers and the secrets. It will be worth your time to do so tho.

This is book 2 in the Montgomery Ink: Fort Collins series, which is a spin off of the other Montgomery Ink series. You do NOT have to read any of the other books to read this. I would highly recommend all the books about this awesome family.

The world building and character development is top notch, as is usual for Carrie Ann. There's plenty of humor to go along with the angst.

Needless to say I absolutely loved this book and eagerly await the rest of the series.

Eliza is part of the Montgomery group, who is newly widowed and has lots of older brothers. Beckett is the oldest of the Fort Collins Montgomerys, and is very growls when it comes to his siblings. I loved Beckett from Annabelle’s book. His book was just perfect, although I was left with lots of questions. Not about Beckett or Eliza but those other Montgomerys…. I have questions. Once again Carrie Ann Ryan has kept me on the edge of my seat. Eliza took what happened to her and gained strength from it instead of letting it break her. Beckett learn a few lessons too…. At least I hope he did.

I enjoyed the book but something felt missing, could be that some very deep issues were explored but felt a little superficial. I am not sure all the sex scenes added to the storyline and for me took away some of the intensity of the complex topics within the story.
