Raw Rhythm: an Enemies to Lovers Rockstar Romance Kindle Edition

4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars 515 ratings

Saving her was his addiction.

When Warning Sign drummer Malachi Shawcross first saved Elle Crandall, he put her in a box in his head—do not touch. Not that she remembered him anyway. Then he joined her band, and he got to spend every night behind the kit watching her shred on her guitar.

Hating himself for wanting her.

But that was before the night the band he’d never wanted to join became his family. The night he had to make a choice to save someone, and someone else was lost.

Of course he saved Elle. He’d do it every damn time.

Though she’s filled with guilt, Elle survived—with scars. With her reason to stay clean gone, even temporarily, she’s tempted to be bad.

Oh so bad.

Until Mal’s unexpected help as she recovers turns into something else entirely. She never expected him to offer her another kind of addiction, one just as dark and dangerous as the chemicals she craves.

Him.

But with the band under siege from a threat from the past, Mal is no longer fighting to keep from falling for the one woman he shouldn’t.

He’s fighting to keep her alive.

As we headed into this highly anticipated series finale, there were many loose threads that needed to be tied up. Most critical was the welfare and future of the band and its members after the shocking end to the previous book. Possibly related to that was the resolution to the mysterious mishaps plaguing the band and Ripper Records. Last, but certainly not least, finally learning what makes sexy drummer Malachi Shawcross so dayum grumpy and a reluctant part of the group, and how in the world he and fellow bandmate Ricki “Elle” Crandall were going to stop sniping at each other long enough to find their HEA together. It promised lots of fireworks and drama. And it delivered both in spades, along with much laughter, steam, and tears. A whole bucket’o tears for this reader.

Except for lobbing insults back at Mal, Elle was quiet and kept to herself in the previous books. I didn’t have a real sense of who she was, but thought she might take a submissive roll to Mal’s alpha. Oooooh, I have never been happier to be wrong. She gave as good as—if not better—than she got, and it made for some really fun times.

Grumpy, growly alphas and I rarely get along. I was so curious about Mal’s secrets that I was able to overlook most of his gruffness. Plus Elle did such a marvelous job of keeping him in check his surliness was more entertaining than frustrating. By the epilogue he had mellowed enough that I may have felt a little thaw in the area around my heart.

Much of the book focused on Elle and Mal, so we got to know them well. With their familial and professional connections in addition to the series wrap up, the storyline dictated there be appearances by many characters from this and other Quinn & Elliott’s popular series. Seeing the other cast members was exciting and also poignant. Particular moments with some of the family were absolutely hilarious.

This series wrap up was as emotional as expected and funnier than I imagined. It hits you in all the feels, which is why I loved it.

Raw Rhythm is the 6th book in the Found in Oblivion series. I think this story would be best enjoyed if read in order to give deeper insight to the secondary characters, but if anything - Perfect Pitch should be read first as Raw Rhythm begins where Perfect Pitch left off.

I know I've said this before, but this time I mean it more than the last.... Mal and Elle are my favorite couple of the series. They are one of those couples who seemed very comfortable in the background of life. He the drummer, she a guitarist who stays in the middle of the stage. They ignore each other - perhaps because they see each other as equal vs the air they both put on. Together, they burn so bright that there is no way they could just blend into the background.

Elle has some issues in her past and the way that Mal deals with it is just fantastic. This whole series involves families of the heart and families of origin. It's awesome to see how they all meld together into one amazing team.

This story actually had me feeling all the feelings. It seriously has a bit of everything: romance, hot sex, angst, mystery and most of all the sweetest grandparents a person could ask for.

I absolutely recommend this book, this series and these authors.

I really enjoyed this book. The stories of all the band mates all blend together to come into a great almost final book! Can't wait to read the next one. C

Read it a second time and still enjoyed it immensely. Just something about Elle/Ricki and Mal , undoubtedly my favorite “ Warning Sign /Found in Oblivion couple. Their relationship is as interesting and engaging and scintillating outside the bedroom in general conversation as it is scorching in the bedroom. I don’t know if it’s because of all the history and backstory (which is finally revealed) with the characters. being the last in the series. Elle is a charming combination of strength , vulnerability , spunk , wit and sweetness and sometimes sweet innocence...except when she is talking about Mal’s prowess with Mrs. Ronson lol. Mal has been a beautiful revelation. Wittily Grumpy , ultra protective of Elle and so immensely in love with her. They are just perfect together.
And anytime I can get extra scenes with Nick and Lila my favorite “ Lost in Oblivion “ couple all is well is my world

I have been waiting to read Malachi and Ricki/Elle's book! (I have a thing about reading books in order, so it took me a while to get here!)

This book is bittersweet. If you read the last book, Perfect Pitch, then you know tragedy befell the Oblivion and Warning Sign family. Not only was Ricki/Elle seriously injured, but a member of the family was lost. Raw Rhythm deals with a lot of the aftermath of the "accident"....or was it an accident?

There is a lot of emotional pain and turmoil to go along with the physical injuries. Who would've guessed that Malachi Shawcross would turn out to be Richelle (Ricki/Elle) Crandall's hero not once, but twice?

I'm a sucker for the bad boy... especially for the ones with pain their pasts...so it's no surprise that I'm totally in love with Malachi. I knew he and Ricki would end up together, but I could never have guessed how they'd get together.

(And I totally love Lila's parents! They're always sticking folks in the "baby making" room!)

There is a HUGE twist to this story! If you've been reading/have read the Lost in Oblivion series... this one will blow you away! (At least it did me.)

You don't really have to read all of these series, but a lot of the characters cross. I'll be reading the first Rock Revenge book before I read the last Found in Oblivion book. (This reading order can be found on the authors' website.)

Number six of the Found in Oblivion series. And fortunately this book ends on a happier note than the previous book. In order to enjoy the cameos and insider jokes it is helpful to have read some of the others, but don't worry, once you start to read one, you're going to be hooked.
This one is about Warning Sign's reluctant, abrasive drummer, Malachi Shawcross and the twin sister of his ex -stepmother's second husband.... Yes, that 's how complicated their relationship is.But don't fret, the book is jam -packed with tension drama and scintillating characters. Bound to give you a sleepless night!!

A fantastic read - emotional, gritty and thought provoking. Drawn in from the first page, I was hooked on the storyline and finding out the backstory of these two complex characters.
I quite liked the focus that unfortunate actions occur and consequences ensue from these, and the various repercussions that can come after.
A great read all told.

I really liked this book in this series it was nearly a 5 star but would of like the part where they both met at the beginning of the book in stead of the end but that is just my opinion
