Breached: A Breach Companion Novel Kindle Edition
Empty.
Alone.
Just as I had to be.
No one else was going to get hurt because of me. No more deaths.
For years I’ve secluded myself, stayed in the darkness, and tried to melt into the background. Hiding in plain sight.
Taking a new job, working in close confines with a new partner, is risky, and I thought I was up to the task. So I hide behind a mask of my own making, a façade for the world.
The problem is, I can’t stop thinking about my new partner. I hate her, but I crave her like she’s the most intoxicating thing I’ve ever encountered.
It’s maddening, but I need to stay away. I have to stay away.
I can’t love anyone ever again.

About the author

K.I. Lynn is the USA Today Bestselling Author from The Bend Anthology and the Amazon Bestselling Series, Breach. She spent her life in the arts, everything from music to painting and ceramics, then to writing. Characters have always run around in her head, acting out their stories, but it wasn’t until later in life she would put them to pen. It would turn out to be the one thing she was really passionate about.
Since she began posting stories online, she’s garnered acclaim for her diverse stories and hard hitting writing style. Two stories and characters are never the same, her brain moving through different ideas faster than she can write them down as it also plots its quest for world domination…or cheese. Whichever is easier to obtain… Usually it’s cheese.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2024This book was amazing. I have read the series already but read Breach and the other two books in the series and then read this one.
When I read the series before I felt as though it would have been a much better to read Breach and then Breached then the rest of the series.
Obviously by reading both of them first you get the dual POV of how each one was suffering in their own struggles of depression. It helped me to understand Nathan. You didn’t get that in Breach.
I have bi polar and I felt like the author portrayed their depression as authentic and it was nice to read Nathan’s own thinking.
I loved watching them fall in love and have some form of happiness. I loved the last 15 to 10% of Breached because he realizes how much he loved her and that he was gonna fight for her. And good for her for standing up for herself. He was good for her after all. Just not so good for him but as the story goes on I’m sure they will get their happily ever after!
I know this book wasn’t out in line with the other books in this series, so I hope you read this review before you start so you have an idea how much better it is to read them before the others in the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2017Whenever I read a K.I. Lynn book I know that she is going to deliver a hot alpha male, a sassy heroine and a storyline that will blow my mind. I have read the Breach series from her before and an a HUGE fan of "dirty mouth" Nathan Thorne so it was amazing to visit him again in Breached. While it's rare that I enjoy "His side" retelling novels, Breached was actually an excellent retelling of Breach (book 1) but from Nathan's perspective. It was gritty, sexy, and filled to the brim with classic Nathan dirty talk that will blow your mind. He is the OG Dirty talker. Always has and always will be. I absolutely loved it!
Nathan Thorne has gone through a lot. Badly injured and scarred from a tragic incident from his past, he lost his wife and child ten years earlier. As a result of this, he lives under a dark cloud; constantly in physical and emotional pain and keeping people at a distance. But what happens when a gorgeous yet equally damaged coworker begins to light up the darkness he once lived in? Can he make an exception for her? Will he allow her close enough to breach his walls?
I absolutely loved this novel. It was shocking, sexy, passionate and absolutely filthy. Nathan was a dirty boy and loved to act like it. He saw Lila and knew he had to have her. Despite his past, the danger he was in and his usual modus operandi of avoiding and getting close to people (for their own protection), Lila was an enigma to him and he could not resist her. Their passion lit my kindle on FIRE!! It was pure heat and crazy intensity and that ending!! Wow!
All in all this was a fantastic read and a much needed perspective. I loved this novel as Nathan Thorne will always be one of my favorite heroes of all time! Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula
- Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 20174.5 stars. When I first read Breach through Lila's POV, I had a hard time connecting and understanding Nathan, and for good reason. Because there's so much to learn about him and his past which explains why he acts the way he does. So it took me a while to warm up to both of them since there was so much physical initially, and Nathan was undeniably sexy but a complete jerk, too. Once I got to know Nathan and the whys behind who he is in the present, then I saw him through new eyes, much like Caroline and Drew did. And now having Nathan's POV in Breached, which is the vast majority of the story in Breach and includes Dissolution and a bit of Infraction, I can appreciate so much more about him. Nathan isn't that hard of a puzzle to piece together anymore. He might act like he has a stone wall for emotions and an impenetrable shield. He refuses to let anyone in because the consequences are too much for him to bear after everything he has lost. It's heartbreaking that he carries this burden on his shoulders alone. All those times he seemed cold and rude to Delilah were not because the words actually spoke the truth, it was to protect her and himself. I loved Nathan's stark honesty and how he could read Lila so well, because it takes a broken and scarred soul to recognize another. And in the deepest part of himself, he did care right from the beginning. If anything, reading Breached felt like a treat to delve further into Nathan's mind and to be able to feel the palpable ache in his heart, which only made him more lovable. This book is definitely for anyone who can't get enough of Nathan Thorne.
