I have been completely surprised at this story of good and evil at a time in history when men believed in multiple God's for their lives. Such evil that controlled their minds and bodies until a couple that had been wounded and hurt by life and enemies found each other and a love was born that triumphed over all the pain of a lifetime.

Definitely not something I would want to read a second time. Ceanna, to, was a very weak person. The only time I saw her as strong was when her brother died in the first book, and in the second when the hut was burning. She seemed a puddle most of the time. This book was in equal measures gruesome and lurid. I loved her previous books, but this series was disappointing.
