I like it, but was disappointed when half of the second book was actually the first book. Overall, however, I am enjoying the series

This is a fair and honest review of parts one and two of the serialized version of this novel, and although I gave part 1 only 3-stars because of grammatical issues and because it leaves the reader in the dark until you get past it, I am very glad I stuck with it and kept on reading through part 4.

This is a dark novel, as both lead characters come to terms with the lives they've led, the rules they've followed, the people they thought they were, the mistakes they've made, and how they learn to heal each other. If you're looking for a light and fluffy contemporary romance, this isn't it. But it is a very good read, and a satisfying one. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of The Forbidden Series.

The story was great, but to many errors with spelling and grammar. Editing should have been better before being published

I love these trilogies with Kate Hewitt, Caitlin Crewes and Maisey Yates. Alpha males, strong heroines, sexy settings... keep them coming ladies!

Too much introspection. The characters were always in their own heads. The set up of a tortured hero is always appealing---but this guy is rich enough to have weekly visits with a shrink. The heroine is another poor little rich girl. Granted she saw her father shot but that doesn't have much to do with the story line other than her sorority dropped her b/c he turned out to be a criminal. Ordinarily Maisey Yates is one of my favs. This must have been one of her very first books published.pulled from the slush pile after she gained popularity.
I'm surprised in that Amazon usually lets you know when you've already ordered a book. Parts 2, 3. & 4 are all included in this so don't waste your money on them as I did.

Steamy, dark, and fraught with conflict. This is not a vanilla story. Maisey Yates delivers another fantastic story.

Part One

I was browsing Amazon and this book popped up as free so I thought why not; I'll give it a try. As soon as I started reading I was intrigued, I really like the way in which the author set up the story. Maisey drip fed us history all the while creating intrigue with the events that surrounded Addison and Logan.

Logan is the closed off billionaire with many secrets. He was shipwrecked on an island and hasn't long since returned to civilisation. Although he hides from the public, he agrees to help out an old acquaintance by giving Addison a job as an intern. Of course, Addison's presence messes up his recluse life style.

Addison is surrounded by family scandal. She needs to disappear and working for a friend of her brother seems like the only solution. Although Addison knows nothing more than what the papers report about the mysterious Logan, her interest is piqued.

I really enjoyed this first instalment and I found the author's writing easy to get into. Both characters interested me as did their circumstances and I can't wait to follow this series and start the second instalment.

Book one is free, take a chance and download it as you might discover a new favourite today.

Part Two

I didn’t mind the second instalment of this story, my interest is still piqued, I can feel the rising sexual tension between Logan and Addison and Logan’s story continues to intrigue me. However, I feel the story is losing momentum by being split up into chunks, it doesn’t read like a series of novellas it literally is a story cut up and divided into a small group of chapters. Following the cliffhanger I do want to read on. I enjoy the author’s writing and the story is refreshing.

Parts Three and Four

*I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.*

After the cliffhanger of part two I was eager to continue with this story. Up until now, I felt the story was moseying along at a steady pace. It was only after Logan exposed his deepest secret to Addison that the speed picked up and both characters came into their own.

The author’s writing had me caring for both characters. Addison and Logan had expectations and society rules to conform to. But locked away from the outside world, they could be real and raw with each other. Both exposed their insecurities and yet they both still wanted more.

I really enjoyed the last half of The Billionaire’s Intern. It was sexy, endearing and had me rooting for both characters. There was just the right amount of drama to wrap up the story and even though there might have been a touch of instalove. I was too far gone to care.

If you like billionaire romances, you need to check this one out because, like me, you might just discover a great new author. ~Ava

Logan and Addison belong together -- if only they realised it. Both struggling with their demons - both in hiding, will they brave the 1st step or will they choose to hide. A fantastic story - drew me in from the 1st page( as all your books do ) .can't wait for the next book !!!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Just too much

I usually like this author, but this book is an exception. The two major characters have experienced major trauma, and we are unfortunately forced to regurgitate their emotional wanderings over and over ad inf. This much angst went on so long during the book, that I stopped caring, grew impatient and bored with reading about it. So glad when it finally was over.

What can I say about this first book in this series BRILLIANT, FANTASTIC, PAGE TURNER. This book has it all what a brilliant story both Logan and Addison crossing each other's paths and both having been through tragic events, and how they feed off each other without realizing each other are fighting their own personal demons. I cannot wait to read book two, I purchased it as soon as I finished this one. There is so much more I can say but it would give too much away, This is a book With a GREAT story and you need to read it without knowing too much about it. I WILL DEFINITELY BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS AUTHOR AGAIN. LOVED IT.
