Love, Love, Love. I ordered this for myself, I am a 30+ year old mother of 4 who used to be quite artistic in my younger years, but stopped when I had children. I was so happy when I received this! The wooden case is BEAUTIFUL! It really is a very nice, wooden case. The workmanship on it is great, and it is very sturdy! I would recommend, if you like the look of the wood, stain or seal it right away, before you being working with the easel, because the wood will get stained with pencil, paint, etc. I like the look of the paint, etc, the "used" look, but others may not. Assembly of the easel (basically putting a few nuts and bolts in) was super quick and easy. My 4 year old helped me. I love that the easel is adjustable to your favorite angle, etc. I originally put the easel shelf (the little wood piece on the front of the easel that holds your work at the bottom) on the right way, but then I ended up turning it around, so that I could reach the bottom of the canvas easier. The drawers are great, if not short in height. Everything in the case comes in black plastic which holds it all in. I immediately removed everything from the plastic and threw the plastic out. I sorted my own supplies and added with these supplies and bagged them, and sorted in the drawers. You can fit a lot of stuff in here, I have several sets of acrylics, including the larger liquitex tubes, a few sets of oils, a few sets of water colors, many more paint brushes, and my drawing sets of pencils, etc. I love this case, it is portable, useful, I love the easel, I love the drawers, it is very nice looking, and I would definitely buy again. I am thinking of buying one for each of my kids, to use as they get older. The pain and brushes are good quality, the other supplies are good, and useful for "trying out" lots of different techniques.

It's a good introduction set to painting with oils, acrylics and water colors. Just what I wanted since I am just starting out. It gives you a good variety of media to experiment with. You soon realized that if you are going to do quality work you need an few more supplies. (I am going with acrylics)

I added:
One Stroke Painting INT1059 Folk Art Value Brush Pack (Amazon)
Stainless Steel Painting Knife - Pallet Knife 5-Piece Set (Amazon)
and a couple more things like gesso, Matte Finish Spray and larger
tube of white (Amazon)

In the end the nicest part of this set will be the wooden box. It is very nicely made with dovetailed joints, drawers for storage and good hardware (flip latches) and sturdy leather handle. I will have a convenient place to store all my supplies and I can take them anywhere should I decide to work outside or on location. I love it. The box is classy and convenient.

Every time I get this set out I remember how glad I am that I bought it! I wasn’t sure if I should at first; there were a lot of comments saying how messy it was when it arrived, and how it wasn’t packaged well which caused parts to break. Thankfully that was not the case for me at all! It shipped very quickly and when I opened it everything was wrapped in plastic- no flying pastels or messes anywhere! There were no broken parts, scratches, or missing pieces, just beautiful paints and tools. :) I still can’t believe what a good price it was too, it comes with so much. I am not rating this product based on the quality of the paints or brushes. I purchased it for my sister as a Christmas present and she loved it. It has everything that she might need to start painting. It includes a dozen 12ml paints in three varieties: watercolor, acrylic, and oil. It has three brushes for each type of paint (that means 9 total). It also includes 12 oil pastels, 12 watercolor pencils, and 12 chalk pastels. The variety of the colors is the same for each different type of paint. I like that it all comes in one case but each set is in its own compartment. I also liked the easel that is built into the case. Its simple to put together. Once I figure out how to I will also include pictures so you know exactly what your getting. The only complaint I have about this product is that the case warped just slightly after a week or two on the bottom but its not anything problematic. I should also mention that the wood is not super smooth. you wont get splinters or anything but it is not smooth and soft to the touch.

Paint wasn’t dried out like other have received. I wish I got extra acrylic or water color paint instead of oil paint because I’m not sure how to use oil paints. I have yet to use the spatulas because they don’t seem as accurate or durable. The colored pencils are not as pigmented as I wish they were. Paint brushes aren’t the best quality but they have given me some great pieces of work. I wouldn’t say it worth nearly $80, maybe $60. Overall I have got some great pieces of work out of it.

I was a bit worried ordering this because of previous reviews stating that the products where shaken around during shipping and either broken or had made a huge mess. However I was pleasantly suprised; All items were individually packaged and so they didn't mess any where.

The set has everything a young artist would need. My son is only 7 but very mature for his age. This set enables him to try out all the painting techniques. There is a set for oils, water colour and acrylic.

The case is sturdy and good. He uses the built-in easel for his painting and loves it.

Its a perfect set for an art student.

Honestly I don't know where all the negative comments are coming from. I ordered the product so unsure if I made the right choice, but I can tell you know I made the perfect choice. I am a very amateur artist, to say so. The product came very well packed, and it looks so great, believe me. It is very easy to assemble, no tool required. Also, the product has all you need, it depends now on what you are looking to do and also bear in mind that it is not a wonder set, it is a painting set. I bought extra 3 painting brush sets (but I kinda over do it there, too much enthusiasm 😊) and you will need at some point to buy separately some extra white colour, as it runs out pretty fast being needed in loads of mixes (or not, depends on how you prefer to use your colours). You have to wet the brushes to have them soft when you first use them; also whilst you paint, keep the brushes in water, otherwise the bristles will dry and become rough; after using them, if you used acrylic paint, wash them with water and soap, put them in some water with some clothing softener, leave them there for few hours (or overnight). Then take the brushes out, don't rinse them, but leave them to dry horizontally on a clean cloth for few hours. After that, put them with the bristles up in a dry cup or whatever you prefer to use. The box supports nicely a canvas. By the way, the box set comes with two small-ish canvases, the one in my photo I bought separately, and it's bigger than what you will receive. But this doesn't mean it is wrong, it is meant to fit in the box set. Anywho, I am so very happy with my purchase. And another tip, look on youtube for different "how to" stuff, you will find loads of tutorials.
