The right tool for the job.

The right tool for the job.
This is the tool you want. It is exceptionally functional, well made (made in the USA, if that matters to you), and beautiful in the way that quality tools are. The thing that really sets this tool apart is that it correctly balances form vs. function: a heavy duty build (as is the point when buying a bottle opener built by a tool company) without its use as a bottle opener (as is the point when buying ANY bottle opener) being negatively impacted by said build. I also bought the Craftsman bottle cap wrench, which, in my opinion, is hugely successful as feeling like a heavy duty tool and something of a failure as a bottle opener. It's so large and heavy, it has equal mass to the bottle you're opening. Imagine your buddy who has had one too many wielding a 12 oz. steel wrench over your tile floor, countertop, toes, etc. and you'll get the idea.Lastly, the engraving and materials on this Klein tool are so attractive I had to build it a custom wall mount instead of hiding it away in a drawer or tool chest. I will be buying a second for the office.

This is not a cheap knockoff. This feels and looks just like a classic Klein screwdriver. The top of it even has the shape of a bottle cap on it the same way it would have a slotted or cross tip mark for a screwdriver. My grandfather and dad were both electricians so I've been around Klein tools most of my life. I was not disappointed at all when I received this and whenever I use it I can't help but to be brought back to memories of them

I'm a big fan of Klein tools so when I saw this I had to have it.

I am satisfied with my purchase overall, but what I must mention is that the handle is not as big as their screwdriver handles and in fact, the construction is a little different. I kind of expected this to have the same quality as other Klein tools and while it does seem to be made very well, isn't exactly at home next to a set of screwdrivers.

As I said before the handle is smaller so it's not quite to scale, and the rubber grip is a tad different. I still really like this bottle opener, but it seems to be more of a novelty than a serious attempt to make a bottle opener a real tool. Maybe my expectations were just a bit too high. I still would recommend this bottle opener, but just make sure you have reasonable expectations for it.
