Publisher's summary

When the prize is love, sometimes you get stung. But if you’re lucky, you just might hit the sweet spot....

Juliana Burton needs a medal at Speakeasy’s beer festival to push her brand-new brewery into the spotlight. She thinks she knows how to do it, too - with a beer made exclusively from Vermont hops, barley, and the best honey in the state. Too bad the only thing standing in her way is a six feet tall, smokin’ sexy, and her secret high school crush.

After a very public disaster in Boston, Riggs Lyon is home with his teenage son in tow. Riggs is taking over the family beekeeping business with an eye to offload it and start life over somewhere where “Lyin’ Lyon” isn’t a joke. Selling honey to Juliana doesn’t make business sense. She can’t afford the high prices Lyon honey fetches in specialty shops and farmers markets. But somehow, he’s having trouble saying no to anything she asks for, whether it’s in the hive or in the bedroom.

Age appropriate romance for me

How do I go about this review? I feel cozy during my reading/ listening time. Probably because it was narrated by 2 of my favorite narrators, and as always, they did a fantastic job. As far as the story goes, well, just like in almost every small-town love story, this also felt cozy. This also means, for me, that there is nothing mindblowing or extraordinary on this front. Except maybe our MCs are a bit closer to my age, and while their circumstance may be a far cry from mine, this one made me realize that I am starting to lean towards their age group, if you know what I mean. Also, I am glad to get across a cameo appearance from Sarina Bowen's series. I hope there was more, but maybe there would be in the rest of the series.

love the characters!

I've enjoyed the connected stories but the chemistry and personalities for these two were so good.
