Publisher's summary

It’s my last night in New York, and the woman of my dreams is three feet away, expertly twirling a bottle of vodka behind the bar and making the perfect pour. I’ve never seen anyone as beautiful as Melody, with her enigmatic eyes and a gorgeous smile. All I have to do is introduce myself. And then....

I choke. And my chance for something - anything - with her is gone.

Months later, I think I’m dreaming when I see her doing bartender tricks here in Vermont. Now all I can think about is having those long, beautiful fingers performing their magic on my body.

But I’m pretty sure she’s hiding something. It’s painfully obvious she’s keeping me at arm’s length just when I need to hold her close. She brings out my protective instincts, but I’ve got problems of my own. If I’m not careful, I’ll destroy everything I’m trying to build.

Losing her again might break me this time, because now I can’t imagine life without the light of my Firefly.

Awe!!! Sooo sweet!! Loved it 🥰

The story was so sweet and moving . My girl heart is bleeding pink. Mason Lloyd has the perfect voice for a National Geographic narrator but I felt him nevertheless and Wesleigh Siobhan is incredible as always. Just top of her game. My heart broke and sores for the character because she brings this fictional beings to life!! Brava

loved it

Trevor and Melody took my heart, squeezed it tight and never let go. I just loved them.

I loved how Trevor was both alpha but cautious with her, because he knew that's what she needed. And the freaking chemistry between these two was a scorcher.

I don't know who's family drama hurt my heart more, I just know that I wanted to make things better for both of them. They both suffer in silence, and find their happy place with each other.

Their mirroed thoughts about being enough for the other helped cement their undeniable connection. And the angsty moments near the end nearly did me in. So many tears for me!! Sad ones and happy ones.

This story surprised me with the amount of emotions it made me feel. I didn't expect to be so invested in these characters. I loved this book so much.

I thought the narrators did a great job woth their own characters, but I wasn't a big fan of when they did the opposite sex voices.

I liked the story, but…

The male narrator killed this for me. Ugh! I love Wesleigh Siobhan—she knocks it out of the park EVERYtime! She narrates women, men, children, and elderly folks flawlessly. I found myself completely immersed in the story when she was narrating . When the chapters would switch to the male narrator, it was such a jarring change. Like, being thrown into freezing water. His voice was so…corny. It wasn’t at all believable that they’d be together romantically, let alone that she’d be taking orders from him to disrobe or whatever…

Overall, I liked the story. The performance would’ve been exponentially better had Wesleigh narrated the entire book!
