I bought this headset for usage with both PC and PS4 but what I got was a device that can be used for almost all of my listening needs! They work with everything they advertise to work with and work without too many issues. They are also the best sounding headphones I have at the moment with a heavy bass sound signature when paired with the Steelseries Engine software on PC and the correct EQ selected. Unfortunately, they loose some of this sound when used with any other device without the software but that is not why I bought them.
The controls on the headset work with almost all the devices I have connected them to ranging from: PS4, PC, iPad, iPhone and Mac so that is a positive! The lighting even works when you are using the USB connection instead of the 3.5mm jack adapter that is included.
The USB works with PS4 too so any lighting profile you setup on your PC will also work as long as it is plugged in using the USB dongle instead of the 4-pole headphone adapter. Sadly, the mute light indicator at the end of the mic boom does not work if it is not being driven by USB so keep that in mind.
The style of this headset is great for media consumption in public, they do not scream video games when used for music listening out in public; especially since the RGB lighting is off when used with the included 3.5mm jack adapter. They are also very comfortable for long sessions of listening though they do build up a little heat inside the ear cups. I love the break away cables as my previous chat headset was destroyed due to not having a detachable cable; this was another reason I purchased this particular model as I do not want wireless given I have wireless: networking, mouse, controllers and phones all competing for the same frequency range in my house!
Have not tested whether mic works with iPhone but I would think so, then again my other headphones work with iPhone but do not work with PS4 and they both have a 4-pole 3.5mm jack and a mic. Anyhow, these work better than expected and the mic works good too according to my friends.

The Volume Dial is the Biggest Headache
Everything about this mic for the most part has been great. Good Sound Quality, Comfortable even with long sessions, the fact it can fit my big head. The only strife that i have with it that I didn't expect was the dial for volume and how the headset connects to the dial. I saw that it had a dial and thought it would be good to be able to adjust the volume mid gaming session without having to go to the volume mixer or settings in the game. The problem with the dial is that the usb port to connect the headset to it can so easily disconnected. There have been so many times where the simplest movement disconnects the usb and my mic basically turns off. It sucks cause you never truly get used to it. From what I've seen there's no accessory so i can choose to not use the dial so I had to just deal with it. IF there is an accessory to fix this then this is an easy 5 out of 5 but otherwise I'm making it a 4, and depending on how people view that detail it could even be a 3.

I have done a lot of research before buying this and believe me this is the best you can get for the price.
Starting with the pros:
1. So much comfortable even after using for hours of gaming or movies.
2. Build quality is top notch feels so premium.
3. RGB lighting is awesome and can be customized with SteelSeries Engine
4. Sound quality is very impressive for a gaming headset.
5. Earcups are big and very comfortable, doesn't apply much pressure on my head or ears.
6. Packaging was very good making unboxing a better experience.
7. Retractable mic is cool and clear with good noise cancellation.
8. Volume roller and mic buttons are very handy.
9. A 3.5mm passthrough is very handy when my friends want to listen to my game sound.
Then the cons:
1. Cables could have been braided.
2. Could've added at least one more extra color headband.
3. 7.1 surround is simulated and not actual and doesn't help in online multiplayer FPS games.
Overall the best headphones you can buy without any doubts.

The headset fits on my head nicely and is extremely light, but I feel the "airweave" are cushions are a little too soft for my liking and don't isolate external noise as good as I expected. Though I've ordered the leather earcups from the SteelSeries website as I've heard they are better, I've yet to test. It would of been nice to have the leather ones included with the headset so you have the choice, but oh well.
The mic is good and cancels out noise perfectly (typing on keyboard, mouse clicking etc) without sacrificing quality. The only downside with the mic, imo, is the red light that comes on after pressing the mute button on the headset....it's extremely bright and lights up half my face. Though this can be easily avoided by muting your mic through keybind or using a small pop filter.
The software works good (to my experience) and allows for EQ customization and a few different mic settings. It also lets you customise the RGB lighting on the headset to whatever you wish and is also quite user friendly.
All in all, this is an amazing headset and out-performs the Razer Kraken V2 headset that I recently sent back.
EDIT: for anyone wondering, the leather ear cups bought from steelseries website make this headset about 10 times more comfortable and i recommend.
