Small lightweight and powerful
This little thing will easily light a 10-ft x 15 ft room with the right type of soft box attached to it, I'm generally running mine somewhere between 4:00 and 10% power with the softbox just about a arm's length away from the subject now if I need to have it further away then yes I would probably turn up the power a little bit but this is more than bright enough for small or medium sized rooms

The Amaran 60DS video light is the perfect size paired with 60w of power. For me 60w is more than enough power to shoot majority of what I do. The light is super lightweight and compact enough to fit on any light stand. The controls are very simple and the large side display gives makes it easy to see your power levels. .
The light has Bluetooth control. This makes it possible to control the light through the app for added convenience. I have this setup as my permanent desk light for video calls and talking head video. The controls are not accessible in the area that it is mounted in, so having the app to control the light is perfect for this application.
The light is very bright at max power and can be dialed in for specific lighting conditions. This is a great video light that is highly capable.

I've needed a lightweight Lamp Head for while when I came across this Aputure amaran 60W COB LED Studio Light, and I decided to give it a try.
This is a nice solid aluminum head that' roughly a 4.3in (11cm) square shape that takes a standard Bowens Mount Reflector. You can power this via an AC Adapter or dual NP-F Batteries for remote use. Controls are very easy amd the rotary dial lets you select the exact illumination level you want.
Output is good; at 6ft and 100% Output Strength, I'm close to 115 Lux; at 3ft, it's about 190 Lux. There is no buzzing or sound from the unit, and after keeping it on for 30 mins, I still hae not heard the fans kick in.
It has a standard 1/4-20 threaded female hole in the base, so you can mount it on a tripod or light stand easily, It comes with a Light Stand adapter with extra holes to use a scrim, gobo or umbrella. The Fabric Diffuser that comes with the unit isn't that great, so I'd suggest getting some silks instead.
My only gripe about the unit is the styrofoam box it comes with; don't get me wrong, I'm glad to be able to safely store this for travel, but it needs to be slightly larger on the interior. Why? Because you will NEVER fit everything back in the same way it was shipped.
The unit itself has proven its worth in a couple interviews I've done, and I may get another one next year. But I'll look to get a custom case with foam if I do so I can carry a set more easily.
