I loved Thalia and Sorin when they were side characters for Evren and Adara and was so happy they got their own spin off book!
In the aftermath of the war Thalia is left grieving and having trouble coping with the losses that she has faced and the fear of loosing more. Sorin tries to be her crutch, the person she can turn to, but despite his best efforts she pushes him away. In an attempt to help the Kingdom but really run from herself, she volunteers to spy on the human King.
Of course chaos does end up ensuing but what we are left with is a great spicy romantic fantasy with a HEA and no cliffhanger.
I love Holly’s writing. She dives you right in to the story, characters and spice.

Sorin has a hard time keeping his emotions and desires in check when he sees the king show interest in Thalia.I've been waiting for a Thalia and Sorin book since they were first introduced! This book absolutely did not disappoint! Their chemistry is phenomenal - all the pining and angst just added to it. We all had hints of the swoony-ness that Sorin possessed in the other books and we got that full force in this book! 😍🔥 Thalia is such a strong character and such a baddie. She is still coming to terms with the outcome of the war as well as overcoming the trauma she had at the hands of Prince Gavril. Her participation in the bride competition was one of my favorite parts and I was excited that we got more glimpses of her magic as well as little of her warrior spirit and cunningness! This book did have a few twists and turns and had an epic scene at the end! 🗡I absolutely adore the Stars and Shadows series and Evren and Sorin will always be my top book boyfriends with their protectiveness, love, and dirty mouths! 😉

Thalia and Sorin had been the side characters and best friends to Evren and Adara in their trilogy story, and this was just such a perfect ending to the series; told from their povs, following everything that had happened at the end of A Kingdom of Venom and Vows!
Their story so angsty and spicy, Thalia and Sorin were so perfect for each other, as they both battled with their emotions for each other.
I’m so sad that it’s come to an end, but so, so excited for Holly’s next romantasy series!
