I gave the first two books five stars. I almost gave this one four as there were moments that dragged on a little too long, or the plot holes a tad too big, but somehow Willow pulled it back by the end, so I will too give this book five stars, even though I'm left feeling slightly hollow and heartbroken by the ending, but that's due to the talents of Winters.

This is the 3rd and final book of the series which follows the love triangle between Delilah, Cody and Marcus. In the final book, Delilah has to choose between the brothers and decide if she is going to fight for her career. This book deals with a lot of interpersonal conflict and does a great job at highlighting the fact that we need to do what makes us happy and not focus on how others may judge our choices. I really liked how the book ended and that Delilah chose the option that made her the happiest, not the one that was easiest. At the end we also got a little bit of a teaser for another series. Overall, I enjoyed this series but I wouldn’t classify it as a typical romance. There were some spicy scenes but not a lot of details within them. I standby calling this a murder mystery romance with not a lot of smut.

Oh what a conclusion to this trilogy! I have to emphasize again to check trigger warnings before diving in. This one actually got to me a bit, but you wouldn’t get that extra layer of depth from the story if you just glazed over the traumatic parts. So much is happening in this book. All these characters are interconnected, secrets are revealing themselves one after the other, and the bonds that hold the characters together are being tested to the limits. This is one wild dark ride skirting on the edge of the law. It makes you question everything in life, and fall even more in love with the morally grey. I got tingles till the very end when we have like a cliff edge in a way? It’s not a complete hanger, just a fantastic build up for another adventure following the next set of characters. Why did I wait so long to start Willow?? I was a fool! Don’t do what I did and wait, start now!
