This little Christmas treat packs a big emotional punch. This novella is about Brit and Stefan (Whose story was in the book, Blocked). I enjoyed checking back in with these characters and seeing what was going on with them. What we find is very poignant and relatable. Not going to lie, I wish this book had been longer. I felt that this couple's internal and external stressors and struggles deserved more than a drive-by but I still thought it was good and well worth the read. I am electing to post a forthright review.

This is Brit and Stefan’s Christmas Novella and it’s a perfect, holiday read. I haven’t read all the books in this series and this couple were featured in a book I haven’t read but that took nothing away from my enjoyment and honestly this emotional read can be read and loved as a stand-alone. This is a quick read that packs a mighty punch, it’s emotional yet entertaining and honestly I wanted more so I will be going back and reading book 1 of the series Blocked. Brit is struggling with guilt when it comes to making a family for her and Stefan, not wanting to get pregnant during the hockey season is taking its toll but now Stephan has retired they decide to foster or adopt but we all know that was never going to happen instantly, it’s a long process so what will Stephan do to feel needed and wanted….. This is a holiday read but it’s not all about Christmas, it’s about true love, it’s emotional but more importantly it’s about loyalty and supporting your partner. It’s a wonderful addition to the series and I highly recommend it. Looking forward to more from the Gold Hockey Series.

5 Star review of A Gold Christmas (Gold Hockey #14) by Elise Faber Tis the season, well not for everyone. This is Stefan and Brit’s Christmas story and although a quick read, it certainly put me in the mood for the holiday season. Stefan recently retired and this has caused some disquiet in their relationship. A Gold Christmas is an emotional story that reeled me in and had me hooked from the first chapter. Brit isn’t sure what is straining their relationship or why Stefan is suddenly acting like he is but she is determined to fight for their relationship. When insecurities and doubts begin to fester a lot of soul searching by both will be required. Brit has feelings of guilt as she doesn’t want to be pregnant while being the NHL’s only female player. Is she letting Stefan down? Since his retirement Stefan has too much time on his hands and is unfulfilled. Deciding to adopt or foster they dive in not really understanding that the process could be long. I felt for these two as they struggle on numerous levels. Will they let down their barriers and start talking to one another? Will they get the family hey both want so much? There were moments where I laughed and moments where I cried but I was left with a smile on my face when I finished. This was so much more than a holiday novella. One click this little gem, you won’t be disappointed.
