SEALs of Honor: Swede

Dale Mayer’s Swede: Seals of Honor, book four of the Seals of Honor series blew me away. I haven’t had the pleasure previously to read any works by Dale Mayer but that is definitly abou to change. The characters were engaging and the world build up was amazing. I fell in love immediatly with Swede, one of the Seals the workd with Eva’s brother Hawk. This book can be read as a standalone but I’m looking forward to back track and start at the beginning adventually. Swede, a virtual brother to Hawk and part of an elite Seal team has had a thing for Eva for years. Unable to do anything for fear of upsetting Hawk he kept his distance and played at being a play boy whenever around Eva. Once he and Eva are thrown together because of unimaginable circumstances he realizes that he can’t pretend anymore and decides to keep her for his own. Eva, Hawks little sister, has always had a crush on Swede. Like Swede though she kept it to herself because she didn’t want to come between the two men and therefore, did nothing to let Swede know how she felt. With the trouble going down in Mexico and the ruse of Swede being her fiance the sparks fly and she and Swede finally have a chance to figure out if they can work together, in a relationship and to get out alive. The suspense is palpable in this, you never know whats gonna sock you next, and like I said the characters are written beutifully. I gave this a 5 star rating for a solid story and thrilling twists and turns. I look forward to reading more by this author in the future and highly recommend this to anyone who likes men in uniform with badass attitudes. ANOTHER TERRIFFIC DALE MAYERS BOOK I WAS GIVEN THIS BOOK FOR AN HONEST REVIEW .. OVER 18 READING I have really loved and enjoyed this story. Swede has watched his team find mates and even not admitting it to himself (like all his friends didn't in their turns) he secretly wanted the same. The team had been sent to Mexico on a job, lucky that Mexico is cooperating with the US on this job. Swede is hiding to watch the camp and see what he can learn that will help them. When he overhears something then the call to retreat, then Shadow slips in and tells him what Hawk learned. When they are spotted, HOW? No way !!! they should have been able to be seen much less identified as she called them by name and neither new her...THIS WAS BAD. The woman turns and rides away as fast as possible just letting the horse guide. If she saw what she though, who she though, here then her brother wasn't far. Why would they be here, they were supposed to be working. And that all together meant trouble for someone. When they all came around at home that was fine, when they were working , she wanted no part of them. The men would later figurer out who saw them and what they should do. But how to do her job and theirs without others knowing and the different teams getting out as safely as possible. This becomes a funny love story, a dangerous seal team job, and a wonderful horse rescue. So many deaths, kidnapping, even the team seeing some things differently but all trying to do the right thing . But the ending will leave you with a smile on your face if not tears of laughter.
