I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it. This was a great addition to the series. I adore reading about the SEAL heroes and how they meet their soul-mate. Taylor didn't have to look far. In fact, right across the hall from his apartment is Midge. The timing has never been right for them as Taylor has been going on one mission after another. In fact, Taylor is just back from a mission and just wants to relax. Midge pops her head in to tell him that he left his door open. She is on her way back to work as there is an emergency. She didn't even make it as far as her door when she got the call. Taylor now notices that her door is open after she leaves. When he goes to shut her door, he smells a familiar smell. The road to Taylor and Midge's HEA is one that is filled with dead bodies. As the body count rises, so does the feelings between these two. Hopefully they can get to the bottom of who is killing all of these people and what the common denominator linking them together is before Midge becomes a victim herself. I adored the dual POV format. With all of the intrigue and mystery that these two are dealing with, they internally were showing how they felt about each other while outwardly focusing on the case. The bedroom scene was basically glossed over and really shouldn't offend anyone unless you just want a pure sweet, clean romance. On that note, I would recommend this book to anyone over the age of 18.

Another fabulous book in the "Seals of Honour" series. Dale Mayer has created such lovely characters in this series, each different and each with their own story. Taylor Robinson returns home after a mission hoping for a well earned rest, Midge, his pretty red headed neighbour checked that he was home because his door was open, she had been on her way to her own apartment when she had a call to go back to work. Taylor noticed that her door was also open and on investigating they found one of Midge's work colleagues naked on her bed with a bullet hole through his forehead. From here the murders mount up and Midge is top of the police list as the perpetrator. Taylor knows that Midge's life is in danger and he needs to find a common denominator between all the murder victims and Midge, and he vows, with the help of his team, to protect her. The story unfolds in a surprising way, it contains drama, suspense , murder, kidnapping and of course romance. It is lovely visiting old friends from previous books and also the lead into the next one. Although this book is in a series it can easily be read as a standalone and I can highly recommend it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

3.5 Stars This is book 21 in the SEAL’s of Honor series and it features Taylor and Midge. Midge’s life was like living Murphy’s Law. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Multiple murders, action, adventure and a HOT Navy SEAL to help with it all. Midge was a little fickle at times. A big deal was made out of the ticket but then we didn’t hear anymore about it. This story was a little predictable with a few holes but still a good read. Lots of surprises with a small amount of romance.

About the author

Dale Mayer is a USA Today bestselling author who writes for the young, the old and those in-between. Some of her books are hot, some are sweet. Some will keep you up at night with a light on to keep the boogie man away and some you’ll want to cuddle close. She’s long given up on trying to fit a specific genre. Instead she honors the stories that come to her – and some of them are crazy, break all the rules and cross multiple genres! And that’s okay too. There is one guarantee with each book – it will be a great read – each and every time.
