About this ebook

When one door closes … second chances open another …

Ethan was lost after a major accident abruptly shifted him from a military life to a civilian one, from working with dogs to odd jobs … In that time, he’d spent months healing from his physical injuries. When he connects with Badger and the rest of his Titanium Corp. group of former SEALs, Badger offers Ethan an opportunity he can’t refuse. A chance to do the work he used to do … with a twist.

Cinnamon works from home as a project manager plus is heavily involved in global dog rescues—dogs of all kinds. When Ethan walks into the next door’s vet’s office with an injured shepherd in his arms, she sees another lost soul—just like the canine ones she helps.

Ethan knows he’s about to take a dangerous step, but he’s on the job, and no one—on the job or not—hurts animals while he’s around. This poor shepherd has taken enough abuse, and Ethan fears she is only the tip of a nightmare he’s determined to uncover. But he knows she’s going to lead him in the right direction.

He has his sights set on saving one dog in particular, Sentry: K9 File 01.

Really enjoyed this book , dogs and service people make a good story. Ethan is slowly working thru his own problems when he asked to look for a former service dog and now the real trouble starts. He finds a injured dog along the highway , meets Cinn at the vet's hospital. She tells about a bad place and then the troubles get worst. Love wins again for people and animals both.

I really love the idea of this series; what happens to our K9 veterans. Ethan is at a crossroads in life on an uncertain path to his future, but a chance mission may just lead him to where he is meant to be. I really enjoyed Ethan and Cinnamon together. They had such great chemistry. Plus Cinnamon has such strength that will match perfectly with Ethan. I loved Ethan's passion for the dogs. I really loved the scenes with him working with the dogs. It's like magic with what he can do. It gives these animals hope. It really broke my heart to see what they were exposed to. This book is well rounded. It has heat, heart, humor, and suspense that at times kept me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to read to more from this series.

Because Dale Meyer is just such a witty, talented and creative writer. True to form, "Ethan" was an undeniably creative and well written book. However, I read Dale Meyer's works for two reasons, the action/suspense and the romance. "Ethan" was sadly lacking in the romance. The relationship felt like an afterthought, which, in turn, gave the characters very little chemistry. Though "Ethan" is still very good, it is definitely not one of her best works.
