Dezi's Diamond: A SEALs of Honor World Novel

For many families, their children are the “family jewels.” Diamond’s family takes this idea more literally than most others. She is the youngest of the four daughters of the world-renowned Liechester Diamond chain. Her three sisters, Emerald, Ruby, and Sapphire, work in the family business, while Diamond branched out to open her own very successful store in Houston using her own creative and one-of-a-kind custom jewelry designs. Ice’s engagement ring is one of Diamond’s designs, and the two young women had become good friends. Thus, when Diamond noticed that one of her custom designs being prepped for shipment to her client had somehow been replaced by a forgery, she sought help from Ice and Legendary Security. Recent hires who are well-versed in computer and security technology, Vince and Dezi were assigned to help Diamond investigate the source of the problem. An unpretentious man who considers himself a “diamond in the rough,” Dezi finds himself taken with the young woman whom he sees as a “diamond of the first order.” Together they deal with system-hacking, kidnapping, assault, and hidden-camera theft of original designs as some person or group determined to ruin Diamond pretty much throws everything at them. SO much excitement, danger, and frustration when the perpetrator remains unknown and a step ahead of them. Couldn’t put this down once I began reading. Dezi’s Diamond is hard-core and yet sweet as the two find common ground in discovering what is most important in their lives. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Suspenseful with loads of action and stuff going on, a few twists and a ton of bad guys, this is full on and gripping throughout. I loved the strong characters, both Diamond and Dezi are independent and set in their careers but as fate and unscrupulous people try to wreck one career so the other steps in to help. The chemistry is strong from the first minute and this was not dragged out, which is great. It was also nice to see a few other team members around a bit, playing their part in solving the clues and following the trail. As always Dale delivers a fantastic fast paced read that I struggled to put down, various levels of intrigue so you don't guess or figure out the true villain to fast which keeps interest high and gives satisfaction at the end. I know the couple outcome is a foregone conclusion by now but the plot and obstacles always change and each are unique, and that is what has me coming back for more every time.

Levi and Ivy have a reputation for sending for finding partners for their single employees. When Stone tells Dezi he’s next, Dezi doesn’t believe it will happen for him. After many missions away, Dezi is sent on a local mission to help Diamond (that’s really her name) figure out who is forging her one of a kind jewelry. As they try to find out who is responsible for stealing her designs, Dezi and Diamond fall for each other. If you like a love story with a mystery full of twists and turns, this is the book for you.
