BenQ has impressed me since purchasing a top-of-the-line 32-incher for my professional photography, so when my sweetheart needed more visual real estate for non-photographic stuff, I purchased this super-affordable 24-inch 1080p. It is amazingly effective and well-designed. Excellent eye-care software, easy to set up and fine-tune. It's not 4K, but the 1080p is very useable for streaming, surfing, and regular work. Color fidelity is excellent.

I like that it's easier than my previous monitor (also fairly new) to see and I feel significantly less eye fatigue. I wish they used the rear joystick control like on their gaming monitor, as it's easier to use, but not that often that I use those controls. The speakers are a bit anemic and I think it's more due to the enclosure than the electronic design as they sound a bit muddy, even after trying a few different variants of this model. Overall, a very likeable monitor and I'm happy with the performance thus far.

The monitor seems well built. The colors look nice and consistent. I received my unit with no dead pixels and have had it for a couple of months now. It has some extra bells and whistles compared to other monitors in this price range; some are nice, some are kind of pointless. I go over the features and my impressions below.

The Good:
* Quality, consistent colors
* DisplayPort MST: Excellent for multimonitor setups! This allows you to daisy chain DisplayPort monitors, allowing up to 4 monitors off a single DisplayPort connection on your computer.
* Built-In Microphone: One thing I did not expect was that this also includes a button on the front of your monitor for muting the microphone. Handy for momentarily muting the mic or just in general for those privacy-conscious. Note: The microphone is off by default and you need to turn it on in the monitor settings.

The Meh:
* This monitor is capable of adjusting brightness based on ambient light. A neat idea often used on phones, tablets and laptops, but seems less useful for desktops where the lighting conditions don't really change as drastically. I turned it off and set my brightness manually, in part because it doesn't go as dim as I would like it to.
* The monitor stand doesn't have a hole in the bottom for routing cables. It does have one in the top, oddly enough, but that's more useful as a handle than for actually routing cables through.

Multiple Monitors for M1

This took me waaaay too long to figure out, so I thought I'd post it here for anyone else who is looking to connect two monitors to their M1 MacBook. These monitors are great and do daisy-chain, but what I didn't realize ahead of time is that daisy-chaining really just mirrors your two monitors. To set up two additional desktops and get around the M1 one extended desktop restriction, you need a docking station. I purchased "Minisopuru Displaylink Triple Display Docking Station" and a DisplayPort cable. Using the docking station, I've finally been able to have two monitors working. Yay!

I previously bought one of these monitors and loved it so much I purchased a second. It’s so good on my eyes. I have mine set to care mode dialogue settings and don’t experience eye strain after a full work day. When I purchased this as my second monitor I did need a display port cord to use the daisy chain feature. But it was easy to set up!

I bought two to go with my new Apple Mac Studio M2 Ultra. They are wonderful. As a music composer I don't really care about colour accuracy, though they are supposed to be excellent in that respect. They look amazing and worked straight out of the box. Clear instructions ensured easy assembly, so no issues with that, and screen adjustment is smooth and accurate.

I really like the all black design, the carrying handle on the stand and the small base on the stand. It's very sturdy and heavy, much heavier than my last monitor which had a bigger screen (27" VS 24") - The quality feels and looks far superior. Speakers are good, just remember to go to settings and turn up the max volume to 100%, you can adjust the volume after doing that on your computer or phone - The max volume was low until I figured that out. Picture quality looks great to me, for my needs, even at 1080p.
I'm using it for DEX with my Samsung phone - it came with a USB-C cable and DEX came to life as soon as I attached the cable, my chromebook worked too. It charges my devices with the supplied USB-C cable.

The only con I can think of is the power cable length, it's about 5FT, should have been at least 6ft . Saying that, I've only had the monitor for a day, so I can't comment on longevity.

Also, when the display is not tilted and pushed down to the lowest position on the stand, the distance from my desk to the bottom of the display is 2". I had trouble finding this info and I wanted a monitor that was close to my desk - I thought this info may help others.
