I like the pots. Perfect for what I need in terms of size, especially the small one. But the lid.......... First time I washed the lid it filled with water between the handle and the base. Just a simple washing of the lid and it has a good amount of water in it. In and of itself not a problem immediately but water over the long run stagnates. Possible bacteria growth.

It's a nice set. Like the fact you can lift the cover and pan without getting burnt. There's really no need for the small hole in the covers to let steam out, which generally stops boiling over. However even having the stove set to low/medium steam comes out the hole but still tends to boil over; you need to tilt the cover. The 1 quart cover did have a slight dent on the rim and didn't close properly. But all in all I'm satisfied with the purchase.

The small saucepan was good upon arrival. The large was not. The lid was not screwed together properly (not a big deal. However, the lip on the rim of the lid was bent in several locations (not repairable) and the saucepan itself was not circular. It has a "flat" side which means the lid won't seat properly. Even if I try to force it into place, it keeps popping up. Will not buy Utopia again. Poor quality control.
