Avoid drilling lag screws into your flat roof top or concrete pad, the EZ-NPP is recommended for high wind installations, providing a strong platform with cinder blocks for ballast (cinder blocks are not included).

Ideal for non-penetrating flat roof and ground installations, the EZ-NPP tripod and mast assembly includes a sturdy, galvonized steel mounting platform. The platform is sized for four standard concrete cinder blocks as ballast.

The EZ-NPP Tripod assembly is constructed of 18 gauge 1008-10 steel tubing, galvanized using the Flo-Coat (zinc-chromate-polymer) process for excellent corrosion protection.

Ungalvanized mast collars, & connecting components are gold irridited for corrosion protection.

Mast collars feature a captive 'stop-nut' design, to eliminate lock nut spin when tightened; and a mast supporting cup for additional stability.

Mounting Options

Add one or more mast extensions (EZ-125-35M) to increase the height of the mounting assembly by 35 inches per mast.

Mounting Rules of Thumb

Wind: the wind gauge should be mounted four times the distance of the differential height of the tallest obstruction.

Example: House = 20 feet tall, pole = 5 feet tall.

Distance = 4 (20 - 5) feet = 60 feet away from house.

Temperature: Mount at least 5 feet away from any radiation source (building, ground).

Ambient Weather EZ-125-35M 35 inch Mast Extension

Galvanized 1-1/4 inch (3.25 centimeters) O.D., 35 inch (89 centimeters) long steel post with one end crimped for insertion into another post of the same O.D.

Made of 18 gauge 1008-10 steel tubing, galvanized using the Flo-Coat (zinc-chromate-polymer) process for excellent corrosion protection.

When used with the EZ-NPP Tripod and Mast assembly.

I put 8 cement blocks on this base and put it on my fairly flat garage roof. I added the extra extension section and topped with a Davis Weather Station. Easy to assemble and perfect for the application. Maybe consider a lightening ground when you install yours.

It was easy enough to set up even though the instructions have diagrams that don't show enough detail or don't shot the actual product. A tiny bit of trial and error and it was good to go. I did have to hammer out the tabs from the holes in the mast since they were not punched through and the bolt could not be inserted.

Overall it is square and sturdy and I'm confident it will hold my weather station for many years through all sorts of weather.

The assembly instructions are so minimal that they leave one pining for IKEA. This is truly a kit of heavy steel pieces. The sharp edged pieces virtually destroyed the inner box during shipping. The parts bag had been ripped open and the nuts, bolts and washers had to be dug out of the cardboard and plastic packing material. That being said, the finished product is excellent. I’m hopeful that it will withstand attention from our local elk herd.

What should have been a quick assembly turned out to be a nightmare for 2 reasons: 1) possibly the worst assembly instructions in the history of mankind. So many details about alignment of pieces and holes left out. And the pictures are so poor that they’re nearly worthless. 2) Really shoddy workmanship. Had to pull out my drill multiple times to clear undersized and misaligned screw holes.

What should have been a 30 minute job took 2+ hours.

I will say it’s stout. On my back patio anchored by 2 60 pound bags of tube sand. Held up in last night’s 45 mph winds without so much as a wobble.
