SCP3-UM312AOIEW
Leaper’s own innovative True Strength Platform truly shows its worth as a durable design which is at the heart of every genuine Leapers scope. Completely sealed and 100% nitrogen filled, the ACCUSHOT series of scopes is shock, fog, and rain proof for maximum reliability when mounted on your firearm or airgun application. Premium lockable and resettable turrets allow for the most consistency and precision capability for maintaining a proper zero. The well received Mil-Dot reticle found in every ACCUSHOT Scope, familiar to many, is complemented by crisp ¼ MOA click adjustments. Standard for SCP3-UM312AOIEW is an integral angled sunshade, quality flip-open lens caps, and quick detachable rings. This 3-12X44 ACCUSHOT is ready to meet your shooting needs right out of the box.
True Strength Platform
The innovative True Strength(TS) Platform is a signature scope construction platform. Most significantly, it includes a Smart Spherical Structure(SSS) controlling the joint-like interaction between a scope’s inner and outer tubes. The design provides long lasting reliability in these interactions to guarantee precise and responsive windage/elevation adjustment over time. TS has been at the heart of every genuine Leapers scope for more than a decade and has been fully tested on scope-killer airguns and elephant rifles with extreme recoil.
Most Demanding Tests
We perform our testing based on actual users' input. We gather usage intelligence from all deployment aspects, carefully analyze their impacts and develop appropriate test parameters to ensure optimal performance under all conditions. TS has been at the heart of every genuine Leapers scope for more than a decade and has been fully tested on scope-killer airguns and elephant rifles with extreme recoil.
Premium Lockable and Resettable Turrets
Well-designed and constructed target turrets allow for crisp, consistent and precise windage and elevation adjustments. Its locking and re-setting features protect and complement one of the most critical parts in the optic for proper zeroing.
Side Wheel Adjustable Turret
SWAT AO, for short of Side Wheel Adjustable Turret, allows this particular scope to achieve an impressive and unparalleled parallax free view from 10 yards to infinity. The side wheel design provides a user-friendly, easy and quick access type of adjustment. Optional Big Wheel of various sizes can be purchased to get even finer adjustment.
Parallax Free View from 10 Yards to Infinity
Uncommon throughout the market, this particular scope series achieves an impressive and unparalleled parallax free view from as close in as 10 yards out to infinity with its SWAT AO.
EZ-TAP Illumination Enhancing Technology
Uncommon throughout the market, this particular scope series comes equipped with the patented Illumination Enhancing(IE) Technology built into the reticle system, providing traditional red/green dual color and 36-color multi mode operation. With this IE technology, you can handle any environment under any weather conditions. Customer testimonials also tell us that the IE technology is a God-sent for color blind shooters to be able to find a color workable to their eye sight. Low profile control console with 2 finger-friendly soft buttons sits on top of the ocular tube for illumination management.
Range Estimating Mil-dot Reticle
Leapers/UTG started introducing mil-dot reticle optics from as early as 2003, pioneering the Range Estimating concept as a useful tool for hunters and shooters around the world. Today, the mil-dot reticle is widely accepted and used in this industry. Leveraging our years of experience in this area, UTG developed and refined the unique Tactical Range Estimating(TRE) mil-dot reticle and offers this feature in almost all of our optics. With some patient learning and practice using our TRE, shooters can enhance accuracy and performance in ways not imagined before. Regular mil-dot reticles found on the market usually have 4 dots in each direction of the cross hair, giving you 9 different aiming points for either windage or elevation. If you count the 2 inner tips of the opposite duplex cross hairs, you get 11 aiming points. In contrast, Leapers/UTG 36 Mil-Dot Tactical Range Estimating Reticle (TRE) has 9 dots on each direction of the cross hair, giving you 19 aiming points or 21 including the inner tips of the duplex cross hairs.
Accessories
UTG aims to provide application and solution oriented products, including useful and most commonly sough-after accessories. In addition to the flip-open lens caps, a pair of medium profile Max Strength heavy duty rings are included. The rings, with a saddle height of 15mm, fit on Picatinny/Weaver rails and are secured with user friendly, quick detach twist locks.

A week later I went back, the zero stayed true when I pulled it back out of the bag. I brought a spotting scope and could zero at 100 yards with no problem. It will shoot 1" groups at 100 yards with bipod (I used a $15 FDE Grip-Pod from Amazon worked great). I could hit the 200 and 300 yard 14"x16" steel with little effort. I didn't have as much time again, so I only got to fire another 60 rounds.
The scope allows plenty of light in and the parallax adjustment is great. The IR (illuminated reticle) works fine, though I haven't been in low-light, but the brightness adjustment will come in handy when I do. Images are clear and fine focus makes them sharp. The flip up lens protectors work great and were snug. I didn't use lock-tite to mount it the scope and it held fine. The ring mounts that come with it are nice and put the scope at ideal level and held tight for my flat-top AR and the eye-relief is perfect. I didn't have an issue with glare, and I live in Phoenix Metro, in Arizona where it is bright and sunny 300 days a year. The zero-reset/lock is awesome and you feel the clicks when adjusting the elevation/windage.
In review, the scope has performed very well for me and price was fair. I didn't purchase the optional large wheel for parallax adjustment as the stock one performed just fine. Also came with a card for easy range estimations to use with the mil-dot at 10x zoom. You get; scope, rings, 2 batteries, 2 allen keys (for mounting), and lens covers for $120 and that is an awesome deal. Recommended it to family and friends. I haven't had a bad UTG product yet. I am very confident in the UTG/Leapers company and will be buying the UTG 6-24x50mm for a .308/7.62x51NATO.
When i started researching optics, i quickly found out that these things can be more expensive than the gun itself. I came across a good internet article that listed this particular scope, as a great budget scope option. I'm not a competition shooter, and I also wont be hunting with this rifle. This is solely for shooting at the range. So the package finally arrived, i removed my Red Dot, and I had to remove my Mbus iron from the rear. I didn't purchase the higher mounts, and this scope wouldn't fit, while allowing the Irons to stay on. I'll probably address that later on, and get the higher mount.
So i started off with the Scope too far forward on my rail. I installed it like that, because with the lower mounts, it's kind of difficult to charge the rifle. I couldn't get my eye lined up good, so I slid the scope to the rear, and was able to see clearly. It probably took me about 30 rounds to get this thing Zeroed in. I wasn't using a shooting block, which definitely wasn't helping my situation out. I was resting my hand-guard on my Ammo Box, I would recommend that you use a proper shooting block when sighting in. Anyhow I got to the point where, i was hitting the center of the target and that was good enough for me. I did this on the 100yd range, took a few shots at 200yd and 300yd as well. I've never shot long distances, and the view was incredible. I found the scope to be easily adjustable.
Lastly, i went over to the 50yd range, and laid down the most accurate shots i've ever put down with my rifle. I was shooting dead center, and I believe my groups were less than an inch. I dont know anything about groups etc.. but i do know that I'm shooting extremely accurate now. I was shooting clays on the 50yd range as well, and hitting dead center.
The only downside is, this scope is heavy. I definitely feel like this turned my rifle into a bench gun, which for me is fine, as I'm building a more "tactical" SBR that i can maneuver around with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a scope and not wanting to pay $600.
