    Windforce Cooling System

The WINDFORCE 3X cooling system features 3x 80mm unique blade fans, alternate spinning fan, 5 composite copper heat pipes, heat-pipe direct touch and 3D active fan functionality, together delivering an effective heat dissipation capacity for higher performance at lower temperatures.

    Alternate Spinning

The Gigabyte 'Alternate Spinning' is the solution that can solve the turbulent airflow of three fans. The biggest problem with the three fans is turbulence. Since the fans rotate in the same direction, the airflow direction is opposite between the fans, which will cause turbulent airflow and reduce heat dissipation efficiency. Gigabyte turns the middle fan in the opposite direction, so that the airflow direction between the two fans is the same, reducing the turbulence and enhancing the airflow pressure.

    Unique Blade Fan

The airflow is spilt by the triangular fan edge and guided smoothly through the 3D stripe curve on the fan surface, effectively enhancing the airflow.

The 3D Active Fan provides semi-passive cooling, and the fans will remain off when the GPU is in a low load or low power game. It allows gamers to enjoy gameplay in complete silence when the system is running light or idle.

    Heat Pipes Direct Touch GPU

The shape of the pure copper heat pipes maximize the direct contact area with the GPU, enhancing heat transfer. The heat pipes also cover the VRAM through a large metal plate contact to ensure proper cooling.

The composite heat-pipe combines thermal conductivity and phase transition to efficiently manage the heat transfer between two solid interfaces which increases cooling capacity.

The physical card is great, but.. the drivers arent.
The card itself is great, giving top tier games solid 60-75 fps in the highest settings at 1440p, which is exactly the monitor i've bought for. The sound is avg for its type. All cards are a bit noisy on load, this one is relatively quiet, but you'll need to play with headphones to actually not hear anything while gaming (fan speed can always be tweaked with Afterburner, tho).If you're new to team red or to their new Navi architechture, you may or may not heared by now that they have several driver issues with their Radeon Software. These issues usually consist of black screens in game if the hardware acceleration is on, or if the 'enhanced sync' is on. To me, this is the most annoying experience with this card, but i cant stop myself from recommending it when it costs at least 100$ less than Nvidia's 2070 super, which is only marginally better than this card in terms of raw performance.Unfortunately, this card has no dual BIOS switch so you can't toggle between silent and performance modes. This isnt a real problem when it comes to noise levels, but it may be a disadvantage if AMD would want you to update the BIOS in the future, just like how they're telling us to do with the 5600xt series. A dual BIOS eliminates the worry of bricking the card if something goes wrong during a BIOS flash.Be mindful of the free game coupon you may get with this game (carefully read the item page to see if you're eligible, and compare with other manufacturers like Sapphire and Asus). I was Eligible of getting either Ghost Recon Breakpoint or Borderlands 3.So to sum it up:The good-* The card itself is great. Very powerful for its price, not too noisy on load.* Free game. YAY!The bad-* A lot of driver issues.* No dual BIOS option in this specific brand. The ugly-You.
