A young women, Julia, is beset with her brother demanding she finds a husband in at most a month. He then all of the sudden says he has a match for her and she will marry him. This man is harsh and cruel and she will have a miserable married life. She seeks a way to escape and runs into Lord Wilsham, the very lord who has lost his fortune. Through some unusual circumstances they come to stand against those that have made them so miserable. Can they succeed, can Julia get away from her brother and marry someone she wants and can Lord Wilsham regain his fortune ? Get this book and see. It is one of six in a series. I have read all but the last one and have thoroughly enjoyed them and recommend this book also.

She is running from her cruel brother and hides in Wiltsham's townhouse thinking it's being refurbished and therefore empty imagine his surprise at finding her in one of his guest bedroom's. But that's not the biggest surprise for these two and it includes her brother Rose Pearson weaves a tale of thievery, discovery, bravery and love and does it very well .

This is a sweet clean story that I almost did not finish. It is a good story that I just had trouble connecting with because I was just too tired to be reading when I had the time to read. I am sure that is true because when I was rested and had time to read; I could not put the story down. It was fun in all the right places. Happy Reading ! !

Strong characters both in a desperate situation, but both strong in their determination to change those situations.

I find these books somewhat entertaining but the writing style is a bit bizarre. Most of the dialogue makes the men sound like half wits! I think the author is trying to make them speak according to the times but it just doesn't work.
