I looked at a few similar models before choosing this one. It was ~$35 more than a similar 1080p 60Hz panel, and I’m happy to say the higher resolution is absolutely worth the extra cash. I wanted something that would work well with the steam deck, and this is exactly what I wanted. The 13.3” screen is exactly the right size to fit in laptop bag with a MacBook, and is much closer to a MacBook’s native resolution than a 1080p screen would have been. Personally I think the 15.6” displays would be too large to use on a plane/train. The colors are solid (especially when sitting beside a TN / VA panel) and the brightness is more than adequate. As you would hope from an IPS panel, the colors look much better than the steam deck’s built in display. There is a little rocker switch on one edge to easily dim the screen. The resolution and ratio are perfect for steam deck users who have their games set to 800p resolution. Since this monitor is 1600p, the games run at the same FPS as in handheld mode, but look larger and nicer. Of course you can set the games to a higher resolution if desired. Some lighter games looked great at 1600p, for instance. You can just connect the steam deck’s power supply to one USB C port, then use the included USB C cable to connect the steam deck to the other port. It instantly recognizes the display at 1600p 60Hz and continues to charge the steam deck through the monitor (and no slow charger warning!). I don’t have a scientific way to measure input delay, but it feels snappy like a normal monitor, not like an old TV without a game mode. The cover is fine for keeping the screen safe, but only okay as a stand. It’s not as bad (yet) as others have said, but may collapse in the event of turbulence or its table getting bumped. Works fine for sitting stationary though. My panel has a small amount of backlight bleed on the bottom but only when the screen goes all black, and it’s not enough to knock a star off over. Really surprised to see something this capable under $200.
Edit: The only thing this panel is missing is the option to letterbox a 16:9 ratio input. It can connect directly to a Nintendo Switch with the included USB C cable (no dock required), but the 16:9 image is stretched vertically onto the 16:10 screen. Still not enough to drop it to 4 stars, but you’d be better off with a 16:9 ratio screen if you need it to work perfectly with a Switch.

I have no shame in my game. I play Fortnite.When you set it all up, go into your PlayStation settings and try to enable VRR that wouldn't work but the HDR did for sure. But when I loaded into Fortnite and open my settings in Fortnite, it now gave me the option for 120 FPS gameplay option that I didn't have with my previous monitor. So the PS5 technically picked the monitor up as a variable refresh rate monitor that it likes and it actually does work on the PS5 at 120 frames per second on Fortnite guaranteed. No splotches in the screen like all of the other 1-2and3 star reviews, this could be like they got the bad ones and we got the good ones but either way it works for me. I can't say anything about the long run. I hope this helps anyone.

I had a pretty good experience when I contacted the vendor, however. I got a bit of a run around between Amazon and the vendor at first: turns out there's a 30 day warranty period that Amazon will just replace it - and I reported it on day 31! (I didn't know about the policy). Ultimately the vendor ended up being really kind and sent me a new monitor within the very narrow window of opportunity I was around home, which was lovely they didn't have to.
Given the end result, I'm really happy with the customer service and optimistic about the new monitor.
Shall have more occasions to use it now with summer travel. Just a couple lessons learned: (1) next time I'll probably buy a smaller monitor (I got the wide screen and I think it's just naturally more fragile) and (2) if anything breaks, note that there's a 30 day warranty period (from purchase date, I think) so report it as soon as it happens (not when your schedule allows! ;) )
