Bluetooth ReceiverFill your room with sound! Easily add the RTX to your home stereo. Enjoy audio from your phone, tablet or laptop on your big speakers! Listen to music, Pandora, Spotify, or your podcasts on your favorite speakers. Relax and sit back, be the DJ from across the room. Use your phone to control your tracks or volume. |
Pass Through: Wired & Wireless TogetherListen via wired and wireless devices thanks to the Optical Pass Through feature. When your TV only has one optical output, use the Home RTX 2.0 as a pass through HUB. Listen to your TV using both your wired speaker and bluetooth headphones/ speakers. Choose your volume preference for each audio connection. The Pass Through is automatic. No need to hassle with a switch or cables. Relax, sit back and enjoy your audio. |
High Fidelity Sound, No Lip Sync Delay & Dual Link
Featuring aptX Low Latency technology to stream high fidelity, ultra fast audio with no detectable delay. Perfect for watching TV and movies.
Even better, transmit in aptX Low Latency codec to 2 devices; now 2 people can select their own preferred volume. Many adapters drop the critical codec when paired to 2 devices causing lip sync problems.
Note: For best audio quality, use the USB cable and adapter supplied. aptX Low Latency requires both the transmitter and receiver to support aptX Low Latency. We recommend the Stealth SR-71 headphones
Solve the Problem of Different Volume Needs
Wired and wireless devices work together thanks to the optical pass through feature. Wired speakers and bluetooth headphones can be set at preferred volume levels independent of each other.
Turn up the volume on your headphones and keep the peace in the room with this flexible audio solution.
Note: Audio simply passes through the Home RTX, volume is controlled at the audio source or receiving device. Unfortunately a few headphones do not support independent volume control over Bluetooth.
Quick, Easy Setup: LED Status Indicators & Voice Prompts
Setup is fast and easy with voice prompts and LED lights. The Bluetooth 4.2 technology allows a fast pairing to Bluetooth devices. The LED lights communicate which pairing mode the product is in and the number of active links. In RX mode, voice prompts guide you through the pairing and connection steps.
Q: How to turn On / Off the voice prompt guide?A: While the RTX 2.0 in in RX pairing mode, double click the multi-function button to turn the voice prompts On / Off.

Please contact Miccus support with problems. Our knowledgeable team will quickly respond. Tips:
- Check to make sure the RTX antenna is screwed all the way in and always use the included USB power cable with ferrite core
- Make sure the paired device is fully charged for full signal power
- If the signal cuts out, reduce interference. Try turning off other Wi-Fi, IOT, Bluetooth devices or moving the RTX location. Try placing a book under RTX. Many older receivers/amplifiers emit RF interference.
- Volume is controlled on the paired audio device, such as your phone, stereo, or headphones.

I bought the Miccus RTX 2.0 bluetooth transmitter in January, 2018. I have an old style music set-up, with a CD changer, cassette player, turntable, and tuner/amp. I have two pairs of wired speakers, one pair in the kitchen and one in the living room. I had been contemplating getting a distribution box and running wires for two more sets of speakers, one for the dining room and one for the porch, but the physical challenges would take days to overcome. I thought that there must be an easier way, and this is it. I bought the Miccus 2.0 because it said that it could be paired with two devices. I only bought one wireless speaker to try it out.
After I had placed the order, I discovered in looking at the product descriptions that the 2.0 does not ship with RCA cables (which I needed), though the less expensive model does. I contacted customer service at Miccus and within a few days I had the cable I needed, no charge. The response to my email was within an hour or two.
I hooked up the device to the aux outputs on my amp and turned on the bluetooth speaker. While I stood with the speaker in one hand and the directions for pairing in the other, the devices paired as I read the instructions. I did nothing but turn them on! That's as easy as it gets. Less than five minutes from opening the box to music playing in my hand. I was playing an old John Fogerty LP at the time, and I carried the speaker to the dining room, where before there was no music. On the way there, I noticed something that I should have thought about ahead of time: there's a noticeable lag between the wired and the wireless. Not being a true audiophile, I hadn't considered this, but I don't care. If I'm in a location where the music is playing over the wireless speakers, I will shut the wired speakers off. I can now play LPs, CDs, and cassettes anywhere I want to without the many hours I would have spent running the wires. I have had no issues with losing the pairing or the signal breaking up at a distance of about 25 feet with intervening plaster walls and a brick chimney. I will eventually get a second speaker to pair with the Miccus 2.0. I even saw in the instructions that the devices can be "chained" together. I'm not sure how that works, but I may get another one and try it to see if I can have the same music in four locations without the lag.
This device saved me time and money, and it works great. That's 5 stars.
Previous: Purchased to transmit bluetooth stereo audio to two separate Bose headphones.
Pretty easy to set up on two separate devices.
After a month it stopped working and after going over all the troubleshooting tips for an hour I still can't get it to work.
Don't recommend and should have gone for a better quality and more expensive transmitter that won't crap out after a month.
First of all, its much smaller then what it seams on the pictures, its GREAT and feels like quality item. I like that part of it, but what it should be doing I don't. Reason for one star is that technically its useless for some people. Here is why:
It does transmit with no problems to two devices, pass through function also works so in essence you can hook up 3 speakers, two via bluetooth and one through audio digital pass through. Why its useless for some people like me? It robs you for 40% of volume on all 3 speakers AND to be worse, speakers on bluetooth and the one you hooked up on audio digital output WILL NOT be in sync, and it can not be adjusted. That means, sound (speech or music) will have a strong echo.
If you are not using it for 3 speaker set up like I wanted to, yeah, it might be useful for you ONLY if you never play loud music, as like I said, volume output is 40% less. KEEP in mind that, EVEN THEN you are still paying in sound quality, as the lower sound output will FORCE you to raise volume on your speakers, that means your speakers are always in hight volume meaning they also amp up any noise in the signal.
So if you want to listen medium volume, your speakers need to be on 100% Volume, and when you pause the music you will hear humming from the speakers as they are on 100%. Humming wont be heard when speakers are set on 50-60%, but then as transmitter robs you off volume, 50-60% volume on the speakers will give you low volume sound.
So to conclude, why to NOT buy:
1) It lowers sound output by 40% so if you like to listen loud music sometimes, do not buy this.
2) If you want to hook up 3 speakers with using the pass through, do not buy this, as speakers wont be in sync,
3) If you want to listen to up to medium volume but you want good quality, do not buy, as you will be having humming noise.
Why to BUY:
Only if you want to hook up 2 speakers on bluetooth, and you plan to use it for background music where you dont need high volume.
NOTE: I have another single bluetooth receiver only, I test it and that one does not lower output volume, which means this Miccus trans/receiver has a bad output volume period.

I bought this Miccus RTX 2.0 to transmit music via Bluetooth from my HiFi Room in the house to a Bose Bluetooth Speaker or a pair of B & W Bluetooth Headphones on a table in my garden. The measured distance the Bluetooth signal has to travel is maximum 38 ft with 2 walls to go through. I have no problem pairing the speakers or headphones to the RTX 2.0 at close range but when I have the Bluetooth signal located, what I get is continual sound cut-outs / dropouts and often a complete loss of signal all together at only 38 ft distance. Consequently, in my house at least, the Miccus claim that the range of this unit is upto 160 ft does not hold up at all (yes, I read all the instructions about placement away from Modems etc). One of the walls the signal has to go through is an extremely hard, solid, dense, concrete construction (I can’t even drill through it) so maybe that is the cause of all the problems I face with the Miccus. However, apart from some permanent blind spots that I know about, mostly the RTX 2.0 does work OK from room to room within the house, so perhaps it does have some merit for some users.
