Know that a mic stand is a STRUCTURE. Think of it that way. It holds a mic. It folds/unfolds. It has moving parts. But it is a structure. Examining it wrt the components and connectors - this is very lightweight, spindly but acceptable for the price point (until it breaks). Be careful with this stand and it will serve .
Further note that the construction is of light, very thin wall, powder pained tubing, hence is lightweight (good for mass scale shipping & reduced manuf and end user cost), not so great for sturdiness. The stand while adequate, is a bit spindly and also having low mass will be subject to vibration and mechanical noise translation into the amplified signal. Hence appropriate mic isolation is always to be considered.
And if someone were to step on the tripod legs for sure they would deflect, bend, buckle and or bust the rivet. Will it tip over? not really, the tripod legs span enough for stability, but the downside is they are a great target for clumsy feet. The higher end, heavier steel stands, can usually have a smaller footprint & are less susceptible to rough treatment. SO just be aware.
All adjustments are threaded steel imbedded into plastic knobs. The threaded sections are REALLY tiny, so again will strip and wear easily. You must be careful tightening them. They WILL break and/or strip easily, then you will need duct tape :) or just recycle the stand to the scrapyard.
The finish is good, no issues.
This stand will work, it is inexpensive, will not last forever and falls into the perfect niche that made China what it is - super cheap for bottom cost American customers. Always attractive price and outside appearance, almost ALWAYS underdesigned - the hallmark of Chinese copycat exports.
It will be ok, you are satisfied until it breaks and buy another. At that point of buying twice, you could have had a heavier duty stand. Your call....

When I unboxed it I was shocked at how well the thing looked and good it was built, the locks work great, and it slides well too.. I plan on getting a few more of these.
