    I purchased the Garmin Approach G12 golf range finder and it has worked out great for me. I've had it for a full golf season and this truly has helped me to become better at figuring out which golf club to use depending on the distance to the green. When you start, it finds the course you are at, it asks if you want to use the score feature, and what color will you be teeing off from. (Black, blue, gold, white, red) It took me a bit to become quick in navigating the buttons to score and advance to the next hole. I had to figure out how to change holes when our start off was not on #1, but was on #10 instead for the back nine. I also save all of my games using the blue tooth connection to the app on my phone, so that I can refer back to them. You can scan all of your games, where you played, your score etc... There are features that I probably am not using as yet but I'll figure it out eventually. I think for the money, this is small, simple, and easy to carry. I have it on a short lanyard to hang from my belt area.

    Have used this for a year or so now. For the most part it has been flawless and perfect for an average golfer like myself. I don't like wearing a watch so this is perfect for me to keep in my pocket during the round.

    I have had a couple issues though. I left our home area for a golfing trip to Pensacola, Florida and when we went to any of the local courses to play it could not find any of them. Just would not sync with the satellite, No matter what we tried just would not work.

    Then after a month of playing i logged into to app online and none of scores from the past month had been stored. Called tech support which was very helpful in getting back up and going and resolving there issue but I lost a months of scores due to a"glitch"

    So while not perfect it is the bottom of the Garmin line but when it works, which is the majority of the time it's really nice but after having a coulee issues and having to call tech support to resolve i can't give it 5 stars even though i would consider purchasing again if i lost this one

    I will add while this unit has shown to bed very accurate with the yardages takes a while to link up with the satellites so if playing a new course turn it on as soon as you arrive so it has plenty of time to find your course.

    Have played a half dozen rounds and could no longer live without it. Perfect range finder if you don't want to be bothered with scopes. Or, like me, you hate wrist accessories while golfing. Simple to use and easy to hand to a playing partner for their shot. Has already survived a cycle through the washer and dryer. Hard to recommend a product more!

    After many years of reliable service, lost my G10 recently. Bought the G12 as a replacement. Glad I did. G10 battery lasted 3 rounds. G12 lasted 5 rounds with half battery left. Haven't tested full limits of the battery yet. Love that it syncs up to the phone app so you can see the whole score card. Also like the large font option to see the distances. Just wished there was a little more tactile feedback when clicking the side buttons. All in all, I'm very happy with the device.

    I have loved the Garmin Approach G12 so far. Easy to read, accurate (see below), don't need anything else besides yardage (I know it offers more).

    1. If you look at yardage when you first put your bag down, it will be wrong. The device is still updating where you are and will drop a few (up to 10) yards before is "locks in" -- Fine, not a huge issue, just need to remember
    2. The clip itself is horrendous. I'm honestly shocked I haven't lost it. It breaks free from the device constantly. When I take off my bag (to charge or put on a different bag), it will take me several times to re-clip because the clip itself will break from the device. Re-attach clip to device and try again (3x-4x every time).

    it takes awhile to get used how this works and once you do, works like a charm. I cannot ask for more getting this at discount. value for money!

    personally i enjoyed this small device gives pretty reliable distances almost the same as my Rangefinder. Its very pocketable but best if you can clip it somewhere. the screen too can be inverted( the designers have put in thought ) oh yes, it also keeping track of my score.

    The only think i find abit lacking ad the information on side hazards they arent the clearest.

    I liked this and really disliked this at the same time. The GPS is fairly accurate as compared to my other GPS watch or rangefinder.

    However, the buttons are confusing, and will definitely take a while to get used to. It's not intuitive at all. Spamming buttons on a busy course is not how I'd like to spend my time.

    Finally, the clip is a massive pain. Not tight, and not easy to replace. I've played 4 rounds before the blasted thing get loose and dropped out. Using the Locate Device on the Garmin Connect App doesn't work either.

    Rubbish.
