I found a harshness I had never noticed before. I only noticed it because it wasn't there on the recording, made with the same mic, through same chain and settings. I feel like I have been fixing artifacts that shouldn't be there. My cables aren't bad, but now I know they're adding artifcats I feel like every recording I have done before has been flawed. V2 Cables
V2 interconnect cables bring audiophile quality to studio users. We’ve taken a no compromise approach for a result that sounds, looks and feels of the highest caliber. Cables are assembled by hand and every piece tested before it leaves the workshop.
We offer 3 different flavors of cable, each with its own unique sound and construction.
Green - Ideal for input sources and speaker outputs. A standard balance with striking clarity. The green cable starts off at the top of the spectrum for what's currently available. Green cables are paired with gold connectors and a polished aluminium shell. This cable utilizes a Hybrid Multi-size UPOCC Inner Conductor combined with high quality UP-OFC braided shielding. The Gold connectors offer a thick layer of Gold to provide longevity in contrast to the more commonly available, budget thin layered gold plating which wears away with useage.
Blue - Utilizing a thicker multi-size UPOCC core, blue features teflon insulation, an airtube spacer, braided OFC shielding and is Al Mylar wrapped. Blue presents extremely smooth highs and a crispness in the lower-mids. The blue cable is paired with Rhodium hollow pin connectors and a matt black teflon shell.
Red - Crystal clarity, silky highs and increased definition in transients. The red cable is paired with Rhodium hollow pin connectors and a matt black Teflon shell. With similar structure to our blue cable, the red upgrades the shielding to UPOCC. This offers absolute purity throughout core and dielectric. It also includes PTFE tape protection with Cu Mylar wrapping for absolute protection against interference.
5-Pin Stereo to Dual Mono XLR
The cable that started it all. The few Standard 5-pin Stereo to Mono Cables available tend to wrap both cables together causing resistance, interference and distortion. Whilst this process may reduce cost it does not offer the quality of signal transfer provided by seperate dielectric and shielding for each mono signal transfer. Our no compromise approach utilizes 2 cables for optimal transmission on both channels.
V2 cables were born through searching the market for a quality 5-pin cable for our stereo microphones. When we couldn't find it, we made it.
3-Pin Mono XLR
The most used cable in any recording studio, a trusty XLR is the backbone. We were truly blown away by the difference these cables have made on everything from an SM57 to our outboard mastering gear.
