ASSEMBLY: I am good with building furniture. I breeze through IKEA furniture with ease and my trusty power driver. This assembly was not fun. Sure, the fact that there's only like 12 pieces total including the screws may LOOK like it'll be an easy assembly job. Do not be deceived. The entire back of the chair is held together by 2 bolts. That's fine. Bolts are fairly large and look strong. But since its only 2 bolts for where you will be sitting and leaning back and I generally dont like falling out of my chair, I wanted to make sure they were secure. This turned out to be trickier. The bolts are on the bottom of the chair- which means you cannot use a power driver. This means it was time to break out the socket wrench. BUT because of the placement of the screws in relation to the supports, you can only turn them 1/4 turn at a time. Once this was done, the rest of the assembly was a breeze. Took about 90 minutes from box to completed chair.
COMFORT: Now that the chair is built, its time to sit down, grab a beer and watch the game. Chair is vastly more comfortable than you would think from the picture. The massage is quite nice; it's more of a "buzz" style than the "roller style" which I really like. My favorite thing so far is the heat function. It's one of those things that you wouldn't realize how nice it is until you sit down. The limiting factor is that the cord has to be plugged in. I ran the cable under a rug, so not a big deal, just a little annoying.
Overall: An amazing deal for $200. Assembly was a bit tricky, but only a little more so than you're standard Swedish mail order furniture. The massage/heat is very nice. Would not hesitate to recommend.
The last one of these I had lasted two years - while the welds broke as usual at the one year mark - it actually met its end because the swivel mount piston cylinder thing broke. First time for me. Made the chair very wobbly, not able to find a new one, don't have a lathe to make one.
I am well accustomed to re-welding the frames on these about every year or so. This time, I am doing it preemptively. The parts that commonly break are on the support frame on the backs of the armrests, the bosses that the chair back rotates on to recline. It's not too difficult to remove and reinstall the upholstery, it has zippers. And instead of just adding a good bead of weld around them as I usually do, I used 1/4" bolts to add support framing to the bosses. See the photos. They honestly should be built like this, or at least with more structural support there, webbing or something. I'm 210 lbs, and I recline and unrecline a lot, every day, there's a lot of stress on those weak little weld joints on thin steel tubing. We'll see how long it lasts now.
The other modification I'm doing right off the bat is changing the bolts that go into those bosses. The chair back rotates on those bolts, and so they must be left loose. Guess what? Loose bolts get looser over time, so that's another failing of these. So instead of having to retighten them semiannually, I found some longer bolts that bottom out. I used a washer to take up the thrust slack (two seemed to make it too tight, depends on your bolt length). Now I can tighten the bolts so they won't loosen over time.
I'm docking a star for these required modifications, but otherwise it's still my go-to computer chair for relaxing at home. Oh, also, I always forget until I get a new one, but when it's new, the bottom padding is very thick and you'll sit way up high. It's not comfortable, and kind of awkward. Just keep using it and you'll break it in so you will sit lower in the chair, and it will become much more comfortable.

ORIGINAL REVIEW; The chair and ottoman arrived fast. The product was exactly a described. It was easy to put together. The final screw on the top part of the chair required a second pair of hands but was easy to align and put in. The back of the chair is tall enough to support my neck and head. The seat is plenty wide enough for a large adult and does not take a lot of space. The chair is extremely comfortable and the ottom is the right height to properly support my legs. The messaged, though not a s***su type, does vibrate. The vibration and mode choices make it quite nice when I select the mode to rotate where it messages. The ottoman also vibrates and has several rotation choices. Yes there is even a heat option. Excellent for the price!

It's well built. the only cons are; 1 The foot stool is a little low. 2 The timer for heat/massage is only good for 30inutes at a time.
This chair lasted me over two years and received plenty of use. Sometimes over 24 hours at a time. being disabled this chair was a lifesaver on more than one occasion. While using thschairI did not need as many painkillers s I would normally use. When I was really sick I would sleep in it.
I recently bought a second one and I am looking forward to the day that it arrives!
The company that I bought it from has been very helpful and I would definitely recommend this chair
