Fractured Kiss: A Fractured Rock Star Romance Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 1,310 ratings

What started with a kiss just might end up breaking all his rules—and her heart...

For guitar tech Cassie Elliot, being trapped on tour with her suddenly-ex-fiancé is like a bad dream.
She never expected to be rescued from her nightmare by one of the hottest rock stars in the world—Zac Ford, the enigmatic, sexy bass player for Fractured.
One impetuous moment, a kiss that shouldn’t have happened, and now they’re stuck pretending to be in love.
She’s determined not to develop real feelings for a man who’s only doing her a favor, though.
Because Zac may have kissed her, but that doesn’t mean he wants her.
And there’s no way falling for him could end in anything but more heartbreak…

Zac let his control slip one time, and now his distractingly pretty guitar tech is staying on his tour bus, sharing his hotel room, and looking at him in a way that almost makes him forget what’s real and what’s not.
But fake is all their relationship will ever be. Because there’s no way he’s going to allow himself to get emotionally involved with any woman.
Particularly not one who goes against all his rules like Cassie.
The music, the fans, and getting his next album finished—that’s all he cares about.
And he won't let one little kiss change that…

Fractured Kiss is the fourth book in the Fractured Rock Star adult contemporary romance series and can be read as a standalone. It's a steamy, angsty, slow-burn, fake relationship/forced proximity love story with no cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after (HEA).

This to me was a really good read! You can read it as a stand alone which i did and loved the book and I loved the romance. The cheating did catch my attention because it makes me feel more and it got my emotions going but she left the cheater (thank god) and went on a journey that helped her find herself and find a family and a real man even though they both had their struggles because he had things he was fighting within himself.

Rating this book was hard. The book was super good but it wasn’t great. I enjoyed it a lot but is was missing soemthing to make me never forget it. But the characters were great. Loved the sorry. There were parts I was frustrated on but that’s no surprised. For me a 3 star rating is average. That’s an average book and in good conscience I can’t give this book a average rating. The book was too good for that. Now I don’t know it’s super good or as good as other 4 star reads. I think it is super good and I didn’t dislike anything so to give it a 3 is a disservice. This book was cute and hard to put down. Overall I loved it and want to read more in the series. 4/5

Fractured Kiss is the fourth book in the Fractured Rock Stars series of books featuring the members of one successful band. In this installment, the bass player , Zac Ford I'd the last to find true love and he's not just lining up to join the club. Zac is a die hard bachelor, and regardless of how enticing Cassie Elliott might be, he intends to resist her to the very end.

I described this one as heartbreaking because Cassie has so many awful things happen to her in her very short life, adding her misfortunes to Zac's and just let the angst roll out. If only life could slow down, and be kind.... What kind of story would that give readers? Not the gripping one I just read! My advice is to sit back, and enjoy. I read the stories out of order, this is my first and I had no problems understanding the relationships.

Fell in love with Zac and Cassie and their story. Had to read it a second time. My favorite of the Fractured series, but loved them all.

is very well written and a great read. I read it all in one setting. I haven’t read any of the other books in the series. I didn’t even know this was in a series of books. I would have given it 4 stars but our male lead irritated me a lot in the story. I also felt that Cassie could be too much of a push over when it came to sex to make him feel better. I also think the ending was too rushed and Cassie was waaaay too forgiving. I loved her success and would have enjoyed her finding it while she was still on tour with the band. I think it could have been a 5 star if those elements hadn’t and had happened. Insta forgiveness is just too hard to believe unless your desperate.
I recommend it. It’s very well written. I’m not going to read the other books though, even though I’m sure they’re just as well written.

Omg this book. Zac and Claire are amazing. This book ran me through all the emotions. I shed some tears let me tell you. Both Claire and Zac’s stories were heartbreaking. Reading about these two figuring themselves is leaving me with a book hangover.

The secrets and aloof attitude of bassist Zac Ford was really built up through the other 3 books of the series. To the degree that I was hoping it would be something more than a typical clique , found amongst the rock star genre. At first was a let down as began reading Zac and Cassie story.

Part way through the storyline transitions from Cassie needing help through a trying time during life on the road as a guitar tech. To Zac going through a trying time on the road as a rock star. The way it was handled . Changed my overall opinion of the book. To not leave any spoilers as to what makes Zac tick.

Although Fractured Kiss is my favorite of the series; I was unable to give it 5 stars . Do to continuity issues that appear throughout the series. Most especially in the epilogue of each book. As if the author forgets what her own characters did within the body of the book or previous epilogue. As if somebody else writes the epilogue.

Zac is the bass player for the hugely talented band Fractured. He's seen love come to his 3 best friends and band mates. He's happy for them, but knows he will never have that. He doesn't want it or trust it.

When his new bass tech on tour, Cassie comes running down the corridor and runs right into him, he pulls her up and sees that she's in tears. She doesn't tell him what happened but when her fiancee, Bryan comes chasing after her with only his pants on, then followed out by the female lead singer in Bryan's band, he kinda puts things together. He sends Cassie out to Fracture's bus to get her away from Bryan.

Unfortunately their are no available bunks in any of the buses, so Zac offers her the empty bunk on their bus. Zac really likes Callie. She's smart, beautiful and very talented. He can't believe Bryan would ever want to leave her or cheat on her.

Now Zac has to decide how long he can handle working with Cassie and dare he make a move on her when he knows it will never go anywhere.

So good!! This whole series was amazing! Can't wait to read more from Zac's other band members. Enjoy

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic rockstar romance!

Zac is the bass play for mega rock band Fractured; Cassie is his guitar tech while on their current tour. Following a few unplanned events, these two find themselves not only sharing a tour bus space but also being in a fake relationship. What they couldn’t fake-the attraction they shared and connection they couldn’t pull away from.

I loved Zac, although he was so laser focused and hardworking-being apart of not one but two successful bands-he didn’t know that he could or really how to put his energy into anything else (mainly a real relationship). You could see the care he had for Cassie, but he didn’t think he was best for her. I wanted to shake him at times and tell him that his feelings are real and not discount then. At the same time you want to hug him and tell he deserves all the happiness and can have it all.
My heart both broke and sore for Cassie at the same time. I was so proud of her for getting the chance to be true to herself and live her dreams. Sad for all she went through, but she had to realize her own worth! Watching Cassie rediscover herself was beautiful.

Both Cassie and Zac never really has the best relationship role models growing up. I enjoyed hearing their back stories and what lead them to how they acted/felt as adults and how they viewed relationships.
Seeing their relationship develop, but also how much their personalities seemed to come through as the story went on and grew more comfortable with each other. I loved how attuned they were to each other feelings.
Their late night writing sessions were wonderful and all the tension they had…..🔥

It was great to revisit the rest of the Fractured couples.
Loved the addition of the Crossfire guys, they were lots of fun!

If you love a good rockstar tour romance, fake relationship, forced proximity, this is a top choice!
I love the whole Fractured series and Fracture Kiss was such a fantastic addition! Highly recommend this for a great read!
I enjoy this author so much, and can not wait to see what she writes next!

4.0 out of 5 stars satisfying hea but predictable
Reviewed in Canada on September 7, 2022
OK, so I give tough reviews. This was a decent story but similar to so many others. The writing was good but not outstanding. Not the kind of book where you regret turning the last page because you don’t want the story to end. I enjoyed the descriptions about the guitar technicians - I didn’t know there was a college diploma for that. But the rockstar bits didn’t ring true for me.

I really enjoyed getting lost in this story. The chemistry and passion between the two characters was believable, and I loved that this book wasn't quite as predictable as a couple of the others. I may have to read the Crossfire ones now!
