Best Thing About This Book = I Finished It
I can't believe the glowing reviews for this book. I received the book for Christmas and just finished it. I would have given up on it after the first few chapters when our hero Atcho gets beat to a pulp, but it was a gift so I plowed on. Atcho, which sounds like a sneeze but is actually more of a yawn, is a flat, colorless character. Even the action scenes are flat and boring until the last three chapters which are almost exciting but ridiculously unbelievable. For well written characters check out Jack Ryan, Harry Bosch, Jack Reacher, Mickey Haller, & Dirk Pitt. The authors' descriptions of these characters gives the reader a clear image of them in the minds eye. I can't picture Atcho and I never found him interesting.
