Very comfortable, but difficult to move and put up.

Very comfortable, but difficult to move and put up.
This is the most comfortable stand I have ever owned. Hands down.Wide platform, a seat that does not rest on the tree (so you don't have to find one with the perfect diameter or lean), adjustable seat tension, highly adjustable shooting rail! All these features make the stand a solid choice. However, I will caution you that it is heavy. While the height is an advantage hunting, it makes it very difficult to lift into the tree without three capable people. Someone needs to hold the end of the ladder on the ground while two people walk the stand up and against the tree. Shorter, lighter stands are available that make this process easy with one or two people. To overcome the need for a third person, we used a sledge and a 4' piece of rebar. Place the rebar in the ground against the bottom rung then lift the stand as normal. Just watch that the rung doesn't slide up the rebar or you'll lose it. We bent the shooting rail on one stand dropping it. ( We put up 3)There is also a lot of work putting the stand together and then hauling it all out to the woods, then putting it up. Many more steps for this one than other models. However, the stand is pretty secure before climbing up to place the final ratchet strap and that makes the extra work worth it for me. We hauled the stands in a large off-road cart (Iron Baltic Offroad Pro 1000 *CHECK THEM OUT!) behind our X4 side-by-side, but I wouldn't have been comfortable hauling on the racks of one of our regular atvs. Top heavy, lots of pieces, etc. Seems like a plan for lots of dents and scraped powder coating.Bottom line IMHO: If you want all day comfort and you don't plan to move your stand, yes. If you plan on moving it around more than once I would go with something lighter and easier to put up.

I’m 60ish and take more seriously a fall from 20 or so feet from a tree stand. I wanted a sturdy and safe stand. The system was assembled in the field. The bolts were different sizes and somewhat difficult to differentiate from the instructions. I should have had a measuring tape. The exact Bolts MUST go in the exact locations to assemble correctly (lesson learned). I could assemble alone, hoisting this tall and heavy stand took three 60ish people to accomplish. Once vertical and locked on to the tree and all attachments secure this is a very sturdy stand. I felt confident as I made my way up the ladder and onto the stand. The seating is very comfortable and the stand area is spacious. I felt extremely confident and secure while in the stand. No wobbling, no shooting restrictions and no noise as I moved around the stand. I think older hunters would feel safe in this stand certainly has enough room for my grandson to sit next to me during the hunting season. This hefty stand deserves an A+ on my risk assessment. Two safety harnesses and tree safety straps that came with the product were ok but I upgraded to better harnesses with egress safety ropes.

This stand is solidly build and fairly easy to get in place with 2 people - we also used a tractor to help lift it up. We built them at our house then took them to the woods to install. I can’t imagine building them
in the woods with all of the little screws. Once installed it is comfortable for 2 adults. My husband is a big guy at almost 300 lbs and 6’2” and I’m 5’4” and 150. The stand doesn’t lean to the heavy side when we are both in it. Even in a heavy wind these stands stay put.

I'm amazed I wasn't missing parts. the box looked like hammered dog doo when it got to my door. it had been saran wrapped at UPS and it was clear the entire box dumped out at one point.

Reason for 4 stars is because the washers are garbage. they are too soft, and one size fits all so a 1/4 head bolt pulls through them before there is even enough tension on them.

Thes harness are what you expect for free harnesses. they will work fine for my boys that will hunt with me maybe a handful of times. you'll need a carabiner for each harness, since they are not included

The frame itself seem pretty good and relatively quiet for now. it is pretty heavy, I can usually deal lifting a regular 2 man ladder up with my wife's help but this one took some mechanical advantage to get hung ( no room to walk it up like the instructions suggest).

Lots of scratches from ups but nothing was too tweaked. I gave it a rattle can cam job before hanging, too many red washers and white logos for my liking. nothing a little drab green cant fix.

Comfy seat, but expensive...

My review basically mirrors what most everyone else has already said: This is a fantastic and well built stand.

The only complaint I have is how it's packaged. It's not ideal for shipping and should probably be shipped in two different boxes that are made of thicker cardboard. Because it's so heavy duty, the packaging needs really to be addressed. When I received it the box it was beat up really bad due to it's size and weight. Parts were sticking out of holes in it and I was concerned that parts were missing- and there was one missing(a seat bracket that should have been in bag or box not just laying in the box). Not a huge deal as I was able to fabricated another and I will contact X-stand to try to get another to replace later.

As far as design goes: This is second to none. This stand has four rachet straps to secure it and this thing isn't going anywhere. The tree will fall before this does.

Assembly will takes some time. Not counting the fabricated piece, it probably took me a little over and hour to assemble by myself. There are quite a few washers and bolts that need to be sorted. The pictures didn't exactly match all the bolts but it was ok. Some of this picture are really fine detailed so take some time and lay it all out.

Finally, invite some friends to help stand it up. My father and I were able to do it...but just barely. Like the instructions say you really need at least 3 people, but it can be done with 2 if you're strong/brave enough.

Great directions for the most part, Assembly was pretty much trouble free. Mine didn't come with advertised accessory hooks or cups holders, but that was remedied by seller, so happy now.

For putting it up on the tree....3 men minimum, unless special equipment is used. We tried 2 adults and a 12 year old and couldn't do it. Used ATV winch and truck and it went up well. You will have to reposition the stand once upright because the bottom of the ladder must be moved away from the tree a bit.

Ratchet straps that come with it are bare minimum. A perfectionist will want to replace them after the first season with something better. Location of the upper most strap is not clear in the instructions, but I guessed correctly. Mfr had a picture on the website that shows location for that.

Shooting rail is adjustable and should be useful, just do not lift or pull by that or it might get messed up. Seats are pretty comfortable, unless you want to sit in the center. There are two separate seats, so middle sitting is a no go comfort wise.

It feels very stable, with a slight but of movement, but nothing to worry even the most timid user.

I have nit hunted from it yet, bht I expect I will shoot many deer from this stand.
