When you shoot in D-Cinelike or D-Log M your footage will be flat. Shooting in a flat colour space maintains greater dynamic range ensuring that you get the highest quality footage. These Conversion LUTs convert your footage from a flat colour space to a normal colour space so that your footage becomes usable and a good starting point for colour grading.

I created Enhancement LUTs as a way to enrich specific elements such as the blue tones in the sky and the vibrant green colors in foliage; they add a touch of pop to the colors without oversaturating the rest of the scene, while keeping the other colors undisturbed. And if your blacks look a little harsh there’s a LUT to soften them out too.

WHAT LUTS ARE THERE?

There are four main conversion LUTs: SUBTLE, LIGHT, MIDI, and HEAVY. Each of these LUTs has a vibrant version as well which gives the colours in your scene a boost without the scene becoming over-saturated. Which LUT you use will depend on the camera and how your scene was lit and exposed, which is why there are a few to choose from, it also depends on which strength you prefer the look of on any given clip, as again, this will differ in intensity depending on the exposure and weather conditions in your scenes.

WHAT CAMERAS ARE THE LUTS COMPATIBLE WITH?

NORMAL BOOSTER LUT

If you sometimes shoot in the Normal Colour Profile, there are times when your footage can turn out great but other times it looks a bit washed out, so I created a simple booster LUT that will give your footage a bit of a lift. You can easily do this boost manually, but the LUT just makes it quick.
