Publisher's summary

The Battle of Dunkirk might be finished, but the war isn’t over.

The German Luftwaffe attacks Britain from the skies. With no allies, she stands alone. Her fate hangs in the balance.

As the first Axis aircraft streak across English Channel airspace, so begins a battle for the ages; one that will determine the trajectory of the war. Braced for engagement on their individual fronts, the Littlefields plumb the depths of courage and ingenuity to defend their beloved Britain.

Fresh from the slaughter of Dunkirk, youngest brother Jeremy is called upon to create a French Resistance network composed of former naval officers.

At MI-9 headquarters, Claire Littlefield has devised an intelligence coup that could change the tide of the war. But will it work?

Lance, captured and far from home, puts his resiliency and resolve to the test.

And frustrated at being sidelined from active combat, Paul is unaware that he is being groomed for a role beyond his imagination.

A sweeping story of war filled with intimate, day-to-day details of those closest to danger, Eagles over Britain is a captivating tale of bravery, sacrifice, and one family’s fight to bring Britain to victory.

Engaging story

Engaging story, mixing fiction with real life events. i love learning the history of the brave men and women who fought against the Nazis. The story held my interest. I had to listen carefully and repeat sections in warfare tactics and technical aspects, which I enjoyed learning about. Highly recommend!

Worthwhile

This second book in the series builds on the story and in my view is better than the first. The inspirational resolve of the British people and their stand against tyranny is truly inspiring and well-represented here. Certainly a worthwhile listen which provided significant insight into the Battle of Britain and the beginning of the Blitz that I found both informative and enthralling. The narration still leaves something to be desired, but does not detract from the overall story and is either improved or has become more familiar. I’ll continue the series and do recommend it. The author has clearly done his research and there are many valuable details here for anyone interested in learning more about this period of history.

I liked the explanations of how the planes and radar worked.

The only thing that could be better were the lack of voices. They don't sound English or French. Also the female Characters sound like men trying to sound like women!

Great story.

This is the second book in this series. it is a very good story and very informative about the efforts taken to beat the Germans by the RAF. The narration is not good. The reader has a 'documentary ' voice; not one for portraying multiple characters.
