Kate and Walker get their HEA!

I started the Kate and Walker series back in October 2018. I fully intended to get to books 2 and 3 right away but got side tracked. I'm glad that I finally made the time to finish this series. In the meantime, I've listened to several other audiobooks from Lorhainne Eckhart so I now have a bit better feel for her work.

Because I listened to books two and three back-to-back it's a little hard for me to do separate reviews. Much of what I say here is a repeat of what I said in my review of book two.

Fans of her beloved Friessen family saga should not expect that kind of story from this series. The Kate and Walker books are much grittier and the language is much cruder. I have no problem with that, I read all kinds of books from very sweet to absolutely not sweet. 😊

My opinion of the narrator, Glenda Johnson, has also changed after listening to books two and three. I was pretty harsh in my review of book one of this series but I would give her a solid 4 stars now that I've listened to books two and three. She doesn't really attempt to do a male sounding voice for Walker but she does change her tone and the pacing a bit when he is speaking. I had no problems following the story while I was performing various household tasks.

Last Night begins with Walker proposing to Kate but it certainly wasn't what she was expecting. I love the verbal jousting these two do. It's entertaining and kind of reminds me of How my husband and I are with each other. 😊 It just wouldn't be a Kate and Walker story without some kind of drama. I can't go into details because I don't do spoilers. I was a bit surprised by the resolution but in a way, it made sense; sorry for being so vague.

Overall this was an engaging series and I enjoyed it very much.

A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.

Great Quick Listen

This is the third book to Kate and Walkers story. In this one Walker asks Kate to marry him. Kate is hesitant at first but overcomes her fears and says yes. While planning a wedding they face an obstacle that stands in the way of them getting their happily ever after in the form of a former one night stand of Walkers. I enjoyed the story and the narrator.

A good ending to this series

This last story in the trilogy gives us a more indepth characterization of Kate and Walker both as a couple and as individuals with a past , present and a future.
Walker has proposed to Kate. Some think it’s too fast but they are sure of themselves , until an unexpected surprise makes Kate question if she is doing the right thing, and Walker has to face someone from his past.
Will they find their happiness together, or will they give up on the possibilities of being together?
Good storyline with real life circumstances. Life is full of ups and downs, and how we react will determine our future and happiness.
A good ending to this series.
