    I always trusted Seagate when it came to storage. I have Synology NAS with 6x8TB IronWolf Pro's still running for about 4 years, zero issues.

    When I upgraded my netowork to Ubiquiti and NVR I needed something solid. 24TB came available so I purchased bunch. Don't know how long it will last, but NVR is Setup with Raid5 So I really don't care for the first 5 years as that is included warranty from seagate.
    Drives are quiet and temps are about 40-41C range in fully occupied NVR Pro from Ubiquiti. So I would say normal. Ambient temp in my network closet is 20C.

    I bench tested each drive before installing into NVR to make sure I didn't receive a dead one (yes it does happen with every company once in a while). It tested out about 280MB/s which is quite nice for rotating drive.

    Great thing about 24TB size drives is that these now have double the cache of the 20TB ones at 512MB which is going to benefit NVR for sure. I have 12 cameras running and 2 door bells recording all events and AI events as well.

    I will update this review in about a year or so, to update longevity aspect of it, but I'm sure they will hold up just fine.

    Got them at great price here on sale so can't really complain about that either.

    I wanted to wait a few years before writing this to ensure that it was a meaningful and useful review. I use this drive in a Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro SE with 7 cameras and counting. As others have stated, if the drive doesn't work for you then you have made a mistake in formatting or doing your reasearch. Learn what the manufacturer of your NVR requires and purchase accordingly. That said, for those of you on the site who are tech savy and do your homework, you may find the following a bit insightful.

    I think Ubiquiti pushed out a firmware or OS update earlier this year which provided the following notice on the storage page:

    "Please verify that your HDD is a CMR drive by checking the device’s spec sheet or the manufacturer website. See compatible models here." When you visit the linked page it tells you that the General Requirements are to use a CMR drive with 7200RPM read/write speeds.

    Well this drive is 5400RPM but I have experienced "0" issues.

    The site also recommends that you use their HDD's but they are much more expensive and I trust Seagate which is a leader in the storage space. So the takeaway is that just because a manfucaturer recommends something doesn't mean you have to use it.

    Buy with confidence and I trust this brand for all of my storage needs.

    These are hight use high end drives. But i did have one fail. But you get good service from manufacture and seller. Worthy of high end usage.

    J'ai acheté ce disque de 4T pour enregistrer mes vidéos surveillance (donc tourner 24/24). Il marche bien pour 1 an et puis ne travaille plus (impossible de recorder nouvelle video / ne peut pas lire les vidéos existantes). Par contre, la service après vente de Amazon est très bien. Il a rapidement pris en compte le prb, j'ai retourné le disque à leur centre de réparation (envoie gratuit : 0 centime à la poste). Quelques jours après, il m'a dit que le disque n'est pas réparable et m'a remboursé 100%.
