After the paracord was gone the knife is still comfortable to hold though the bare metal grip is slipery. It still mainained great balance and the throwing was not affected at all. I would not want to use it real world for any period without the paracord howerver, blisters would occur.
Durability: The blade was very sharp when I recived it and held up extreamly well. It is still sharp in the places that have not been dented from hitting the throwing axe or missing and. hitting rocks, dirt, and concrete steps. the tip is very sturdy and has not bent or deformed at all even from hits that placed lots of sidwase strain on the blade. I have blunted the tip badly from misses that encounterd rocks. however with a grinder that was corrected in seconds. I have abused this blade and it has showed no signs of damage other than scratches and dings from objects harder than it's self.
Real World: With the handle rapped with paracord it is very comfortable to hold and handle it has good heft and the blade is NICE it would be a great woods knife and sharpens well. it is much to stiff to be a skinner so I would recomend a seporate smaller knife for that. I have used mine to chop kindling of of a log and it did not vibrate or hurt my hand to do so. i also used it to clear small brances and bushes at one of my throwing ranges that had over grow a bit it did wonderfuly. Finaly, when new the tip is very good for fine work. This said once it has been blunted by hitting a rock, that will depend on how you sharpen it back up.
I just recived TWO more: They arrived two days early and they were both Sharp and beautifull the paracord tightly rapped and the sheaths were tight with no defects GREAT consistancy I will be throwing them as soon as this review is posted.( After I take pictures of the Wraping, so I can duplicate it after I Robbinhood the cord and it falls off again.)

I'd expect this to be $50, yet it's barely half that and nothing I've witnessed - personally or in a review - gives me any reason to believe this won't last a really, really long time.
I'd certainly buy again.
As a throwing knife, it performs well and is easy to throw, but I had to customize mine quite a bit. I removed the paracord wrap, which is not only useless on a throwing knife, but will eventually get torn and cut from throwing anyway. I also ground down the sharp edge and made sure the point was as sharp as I could get it. Throwing knives are not supposed to be sharp. There are claims that you can safely throw this knife holding it by the blade, but I didn't want to take the chance because my wife and daughter, who are both inexperienced, use these knives too.
I can also tell you that if you buy multiple knives, you will find that they are not all the same. There is a significant enough margin of error in the manufacturing process that you will be able to see the differences with the naked eye.
This is a good knife to buy if you are looking to get a set of several without spending too much money or are just starting out, but like other mid range products, they will only sustain you for so long. If you get serious about throwing knives, you will need to upgrade to something better.
