Rescue After Dark (Gansett Island Book 22) by Marie Force is one book that I have been waiting on since reading Light After Dark! Mason Johns finally gets his chance at finding love and it all starts with a very timely rescue. As Mason’s backstory is revealed we get to see this big hearted giant of a man up close and personal and he is just spectacular. A little bit damaged, but determined to live his best life and share it with a very special lady, Jordan.
Jordan has been through quite the ordeal and Gansett Island wraps her up in it’s warm, welcoming and loving arms while also giving her the chance for her very own epic love. There is a lot to overcome for Mason and Jordan, but the heart won’t be denied, nor will Gansett Island.
Overall, Mason and Jordan find that nothing, no one, will keep them apart. Compromise and an open mind is the name of the game to make this HEA a success and it’s going to be an exciting, adventurous one!

We Finally Got Mason's Book and It is Great As Expected!

I love all of Marie Force's books, and I do mean all, but Gansett Island series holds a special place in my heart. This series and Maid for Love was the first book I read of Marie's so anytime there is a Gansett Island book coming out I get so excited. Marie did not let us know at all with his book and with finally giving Mason his happy ending.

I have been looking forward to Mason's story since we really got to know him a little more back in Light After Dark which was Mallory and Quinn's story. Plus not only do we get Mason's story in this book but we get to catch up with some of my personal favorites which are Mallory & Quinn and Mac & Maddie, plus of course some others.

Mason drew me in immediately in this book and how drawn he was to Jordan. Neither of them could seem to resist the other. There is a great story in this book with a little action as is norm in Gansett that I didn't quite see coming but it just made the story even better.

I can't wait for next year when we get the next book in the series and we get to catch up even more with all of the amazing couples in Gansett. I will NEVER get enough of Gansett Island.

This was a nice catch up story with some drama as well as some insight into the world of Reality TV. The relationship between TV star Jordan Stokes and Fire Chief Mason Johns started off with him saving her life in a house fire. Jordan came to Garnett to escape her abusive rock star husband and really was unprepared for the instant attraction to Mason. Mason also had issues he was dealing with so he too wasn't prepared. I thought more could've been made of their budding attraction and less on the sexual attributes of his anatomy. Also more focus on the drama and suspense could've been done with the soon to be ex husband and his fixation with Jordan. Mason could've been the hero in a manhunt on the island or something. The brief police stand off and heroics of Nikki were great but kind of a let down. Diamondgirl

It was so great to visit Gansett Island again. It seems like it's been forever since we last visited. I loved getting to see what was going on with our favorites from the past, and meeting a few new people who've landed there since out last visit. We've already met the fire Chief, Mason and and we've met Jordan, a famous Hollywood star, through her identical twin sister, Nikki.

I loved everything about this story. I especially loved getting to know both Mason and Jordan more. I know we've met them both in previous books, but this time they were front and center. We get to see more of what drives these two, and wow....for a while there, I thought they were going to set the pages on fire! The chemistry between these two was so electric and off the charts HOT!!! The dialogue between all of the characters were so spot on. Sometimes it was so hilarious, and sometimes the situations would practically tear your heart in two. Then there's the suspense that all but had me biting my nails to the quick, while sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation of what was to come next. Since it's been a while since we were able to visit again, I took my time reading this story, and savoring every single moment. Bring on the next installment, I'll be here waiting patiently....or not! ;)

We knew Mason was tall and sexy but daaammmn! We had no idea he was also sweet, thoughtful and so damn hot in bed....he left my kindle smoking!
Jordan deserves to be swept off her feet and I am so glad it is the gorgeous Mason who fell for her, he is perfect for her and as he says 'he has been waiting a long time for perfect!'
I am not sure why Gigi is hesitating about relocating to Gansett Island....I have my bags packed ready to go, if you have not read any if this series start with book 1 - Maid for Love, it's a free download and will be the beginning of your Gansett addiction. Book 22 in the series and unbelievably it gets better with each book, here's to another 22! Every time a new book is released I want to go back and read all the other books that have come before it, you can never spend too much time lost on Gansett Island, just as you can never have too many appetizers......
