So far we've been using the goTennas just in the city testing them out, but planning to take them on a remote camping trip next month.
Seems to pair well with my iphone, and the app is easy to use. I like how you can share your location and drop pins with the app. You can request your friend's location or automatically send your location when you message. This will be super handy on skiing trips with a group of friends. It also kinda makes communication more fun than just texting, like Whatsapp - but obviously we don't need to have data coverage to use it!
The general idea of the tech sounds great, and seems like with enough of these out there connecting to each other, it can really be a communications game changer.
Looking forward to really getting some use out of them on outdoor adventures soon, and seeing what updates are to come.
I will try it on a Cruise and in a mall sometime soon and update this when I have more data. Just FYI, The city here is like any other city, meaning we are surrounded by taller concrete buildings (apartment complexes, a church... things like that), the window for the receiver end was facing the direction I was walking and the apartment complex was no longer line of sight after less than 1000 feet of walking due to the taller buildings around us.
All things considered, it did good. Remember those older Cordless phones at 900Mhz? (8XX.XX Mhz for Europe) try getting out the door with those things, let alone two blocks away. All good, I am happy.
I can see this getting a LOT further with hops and a taller placement. I am not a prepper so I don't have a connected community getting ready to fight off "tha' man", but I do travel to places with no coverage or just cant be bothered to get another sim just for 4 days. This is just fine for me to communicate with my group when intentionally separated in a crowded place - Like a Mall or a site visit. Good work Gotenna!

It seems there's no way to contact the seller for support. Most probably will return both pairs soon.
We've had them for a couple years.
