I really like that you can use it with three different PCs/Receivers. Minor quibble, you have to pick it up and flip it over to change between devices.
What I find really useful is that once this is paired with the 'Unifying' receiver (included) it stays paired with it even if you move the receiver to another computer/device
I got this and the Ergo K860 keyboard, and you can pair both of them with the same Unify reciever/dongle. Once they are paired with the receiver you can plug the receiver into anything that works with a USB keyboard/mouse and they just work.
While you do need special software to pair them with the receiver (except the included receiver which it's already paired with), you don't need the software once they are paired. Logitech provides the software for windows, there is opensource software (ltunify) available for Linux.
You can pair the receiver and then connect the receiver to a KVM and use that to move between computers that don't have bluetooth.

Buying a computer mouse should be straightforward. It's not. Cost, basic technology, comfort, aesthetics, connection, adaptability, speed and ease of use all come into play.
First, for the cost conscious, this has the same features as the other Logitech MX3 available in different colors - which makes this a bargain.
Second, its movement technology is laser. This is a Class 1 Laser Device. Darkfield is a laser technology adapted by Logitech in 2009 by which a mouse could track on glass. Optical tech cannot do this due to interference from its reflective surface. Optical also typically shows a visible red light: none here.
Third. It is the most comfortable mouse I have ever used. Great ergonomics. Its height, curve and slope fit my palm perfectly, allowing my long fingers to lie perfectly at rest. Its top surface tilt to the right is just enough for wrist comfort. The thumb rest, as I am right handed, as well as its width, provides a natural support. Use of the electromagnetic side scroll wheel - as the one on top - was easy and intuitive. Only the two side buttons and that located on the thumb rest were a tad more fiddly - but easily mastered.
Fourth. The mouse is aesthetically pleasing. Minimalist with no RBG. The matte black finish contrasts beautifully with its two silver scroll wheels. Side lines to enhance thumb grip. Its weight provides a reassuring heft. Minimal pressure to actuate the main top buttons. And minimal noise in use.
Fifth. Wireless connection by 2.4 mHz via a diminutive replaceable USB A receiver- which I prefer, as I have had no latency issues, unlike Bluetooth which is also available.
Sixth. Amazing adaptability and flexibility. Across three devices, and operating systems. The control buttons are on the bottom of the mouse where it is less likely I would change device midstream - unlike the Logitech Precision Pro which I also own. The software is mind boggling. Built in profiles for mainstream apps plus actions customizable by gesture. Seemingly inexhaustible.
Seventh. Speed. The top button allows switching between ratchet precise scrolling and free wheel spinning. Recognition up to 1000 lines per second. 4000 dpi sensor resolution allows for accuracy. More than adequate for my needs.
Finally. Ease of use. I used it right out of the box. Without customization or setting up any profiles. Long battery life. Easy Charging via USB -C. That charge does last - I have not tested the stated 70 day limit. Plug it in, the green light blinks until completely charged. That light changes from green to red only if it needs charging.
I highly recommend this model of the Logitech MX 3 mouse. It met all my needs, even those I didn't know I had.
I love it.
There are a few caveats I should mention.
First. I am not sure if the thumb grip and rest are latex or not. Please check with Logitech if you have any latex sensitivity.
Two. Those who desire high DPI rates of 16,000 for gaming may not be happy with its performance.
Three. Its heft - 141 grams, and height - 124.9 mm - may make it less portable or convenient for some.
Four. The Unifying Receiver is incompatible with Bolt.
Five. As I noticed when trying to take pictures, it is a dust and lint magnet.

This mouse offers great comfort on the palm and wrist. I have very average-sized hands. The main wheel offers two different ways to scroll; with a click of the small button at the top of the wheel, you can choose between either a controlled, click-feel or an unabashed, literal free-wheeling scroll. I choose to use either option for different situations. I am an educator and sometimes I am scanning long texts (free-wheelin'), or other times scrolling a couple of lines at a time as I grade and give feedback (controlled nuance). I find that I really like to ability to switch between them depending on the project I am working on. The rest of the options you can gain from the Logitech downloads were pretty extensive. I don't use those options much (yet), but will update if I do end up using them. The other useful options with this mouse are the thumb button that allows you to pull up all your windows for easier desktop navigation.
The only two downsides I find are that the right-click button is a little overly sensitive, and the really detailed app from Logitech. I generally have a light touch, and even while resting my hand, I sometimes trigger the right click with very little pressure. The app is really deep in that you can program the mouse (both wheels and most buttons) to do different things for most of your popular apps used today. I use a lot of the Office Suite, so the pre-sets were already mostly to my liking. I did click around a bit and felt slightly out of my pay grade for a moment or two (a few days). Not a huge problem on either account and I got used to both issues over time. Definitely not something to reduce a star as it was mostly just a new setup and system, and truly the more important issue, I've not had the ability to edit the function of my mouse in the past - so this is mostly all new to me! You may find it to be really simple and intuitive. For the most part, it was for me, too.
Overall, this mouse is excellent and I recommend it to anyone whole is looking to increase your hand and wrist comfort while working long hours behind the screen - but keep in mind, you must be willing to give up a few dollars for this top-end product.

The mouse is still great although the newer MX Master 3S has since superseded it. It easily has 80% to 90% of what 3S offers but at a significantly lower price which makes it better value for money.
Amazon delivery/service was top notch as usual.
