This book is a great credit to Amanda Robson and her skills as an author. The plot is gripping, the characters are well-penned, and I was drawn in immediately. Ms. Robson is an excellent author who can write her story well, and make the readers truly know the characters. It is an intense study of relationships of many kinds and a very pleasurable read, despite the tragic nature of the plot.

My only possible criticism are the few typos, which do nothing to detract from the reading of this excellent novel. I wholeheartedly recommend that one give it a read, as I very much enjoyed this book. I have confidence that a great many other readers have and will, also.

Thanks for reading this review, and As Always, I wish Happy Reads to All, from the Unapologetic Book Junkie 😉!

MY REVIEW ABOUT "GUILT" BY AMANDA ROBSON   HARPER COLLINS, JUNE 2018

Amanda Robson, Author of "Guilt' has written an intense, captivating, sharp, intriguing, and suspenseful novel. The Genres for this  Novel are Fiction, Thriller, Mystery and Suspense. This novel does have some disturbing and graphic scenes which could upset some readers.

The author describes her dysfunctional characters as complex, and complicated. There are two fraternal extremely close  twin sisters, who  , who meet an unbalanced psychopathic man, who easily charms and manipulates them. His mission which he takes very seriously is to control and destroy their relationship by betrayal and lies. There are twists and turns and a tremendous amount of tension in this story. The story is told in both the past and the present through the three questionable characters.

I would recommend this novel to those readers who enjoy a thriller and aren't upset by disturbing and graphic  descriptions.

Zara and Miranda are twins, not identical, but with a caring, heartwarming bond. Sebastian comes into the picture and insidiously and gradually drives a hideous wedge between them. It's a good story, well-written but way too much detail - thus the reason for only three stars.

Great novel. It flows well. The characters seem very real. My only criticism is that several events were repeated- sometimes several times.

Overall the story was pretty good. I did not feel it needed 163 chapters some chapters were 2 pages or less. I wish more info would have been given earlier in regard to Sebastian's past with his family. I thought the story was somewhat cliche however it was realistic in the thought patterns of the characters involved. The author gave you just enough scattered clues to fill in the blanks throughout the book. Again overall it was a pretty good read albeit slow to start otherwise I was pleased with the ending.

great book! Unique story line that I really enjoyed. Didn't really see the entire end coming. Love that 🙂

This was an interesting read from start to finish. Although it seemed a bit simple and naive when dealing with Sebastian 's character, especially at the end.

Definitely mixed feelings on Guilt by Amanda Robson. The book has loads of potential and I was sucked right into the triangle between Zara, Sebastian and Miranda. I liked the plot device of not knowing which sister has been murdered and the jumps between the present after the murder and the past that led up to the one sister's death. It felt like there would be major twists and shocks once all was revealed, but unfortunately none of that happened. Sebastian was ridiculous and his character nor his motivations made any sense. Miranda only showed flashes of depth and I think the author needed to give the reader more of Zara than brief paragraph long chapters. The book was definitely a page turner, but the resolution fell flat.

A non stop engrossing novel that I read and read until it was done which left me wanting more from this incredible author! You look through the eyes of the main characters which gains the reader a prospective from all angels. It’s fast paced and kept me glued to the book the entire time! Can’t wait to read her next book!!

5.0 out of 5 stars This dark and sexy psychological thriller had me on the edge of my seat.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 19, 2018
I loved the pace of this book, which is largely due to the short chapters, and probably the main reason I read this in a very short time. Having read and enjoyed Amanda Robson's debut novel 'Obsession' my expectations were high for 'Guilt' and I was not disappointed.
Chapters are divided into 'past' and 'present', with 'present' being custodial and court scenes and 'past' subdivided to the specific characters point of view which is Miranda, Lara and Sebastian.
Twin sisters Miranda and Lara, opposites in character but devoted to each other, live together in Miranda's apartment. Enter Sebastian, Lara's new boyfriend, who quickly moves into the apartment and also moves into Miranda's place of work. Miranda has good reason not to trust Sebastian, and has to suppress her dislike for him, for the sake of her vulnerable sister who has a history of self harm. Sebastian seems to be testing the sister's relationship beyond their limits, and one of them is killed, but which one?
This dark and sexy tale, had me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to see what comes next from Amanda Robson.

4.0 out of 5 stars The story unfolds in a way that kept me entertained enough but I was disappointed that there was no WTF reveal/surprise at the end
Reviewed in Canada on June 19, 2018
This story stays true to the genre in the sense of it being heavily reliant on unreliable narrators ....except are they actually unreliable? The 3 main characters were sterotypes but fairly realistically portrayed. The story unfolds in a way that kept me entertained enough but I was disappointed that there was no WTF reveal/surprise at the end.

Good book, very easy reading. I liked the short chapters and the style it was written in made you want to keep reading. However they was no real twists in the book and the ending i thought was just average which is why i chose 4 stars.

I actually 𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙟𝙤𝙮𝙚𝙙 this one. It was 𝙨𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙮 throughout and that kept it really 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜. Paired up with the 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 it was a 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 and 𝙛𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙙 read.

The 𝙝𝙞𝙙𝙙𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙮 of the twins in the present day really added to the enjoyment of this for me. The constant switch between the 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙙𝙖𝙮 kept it interesting and gave a good view of everything. The characters were very 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙬𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙣, they were distinctive with very 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 - it made them more believable as well as likeable/unlikeable.

I struggled with the 𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙬𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙨, it was quite a linear plot line. I was disappointed with the 𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 - the story had been set up well, there could have been 𝙨𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 to it.
