I'm not a gamer and I've heard these CPU do fine with games, but most games won't take advantage of all the ThreadRipper has to offer. However, for an HED system, it's great. My compile and simulation times take only seconds now instead of minutes when I was using an 8 core Ryzen CPU.

Even though this is a new CPU with a new socket type, I have not had any issues with drivers on the few boards that support it.

I turned it on and heard a weird whistling sound. Shortly after that a rainbow appeared over my house and it magically started floating into the sky. Before I knew it the whole house was in outer space. $1499 well spent to go to the moon and back!
