Voyeur (A student/teacher romance) (Voyeur Series) Kindle Edition
I didn't know she was my student the first time I paid to watch her at Voyeur.
Once she walked into my classroom, another smiling college freshman, I knew I should stop going. Stop watching.
But I couldn't do it. Everything about her makes me want more, and once I realize she wants me too, the temptation becomes irresistible.
The worst part is that she has no idea her professor is the one watching behind the glass. I just have to hope that once she finds out the truth, she wants the same thing I do.
Because now that I've seen all of her, I can't look away.

"Fiona Cole blew my mind with Voyeur! This book had it all...some angst, a little emotion, and so much hotness! It was a unique plot with a brave heroine and a tortured hero. Throw in some taboo and it's a total win from me!" - USA Today Bestselling Author, K Webster
"I found myself hooked, glued to the pages, flipping and flipping to find out what would happen next. ESPECIALLY after the first performance at Voyeur. The writer had me at the title, Voyeur. Romance readers and lovers can all relate to the sexiness of a consensual sexual tableau involving a “voyeur”. To insure perfect understanding…the operative word here is “consensual”. Come to think about it… with the amount of porn that is produced and viewed…add to that all the sexually explicit reading that is done…well there might just be a bit of sexual voyeur in most of us.
Voyeur in this book refers to the name of an exclusive sex club where sexual actors perform from a menu, of which they choose to consent to perform, for members who pay a high price to watch in private rooms. The touching of the performers is never permitted. The hot professor, Dr. Callum Pierce is a member of this exclusive club and his student, Oaklyn Derringer is compelled by her extreme financial situation and desire to continue her university education to become a performer. Before they meet in the classroom, they encounter one another at Voyeur. The attraction to one another is instant and illuminating…like striking a match.
“Something about her ensnared all of my senses and wouldn’t let me go. I couldn’t put my finger on what it was. Maybe physical attraction? It felt bigger than that, like a planet that was pulling me into its orbit.” - Callum
“Maybe he’d be the one to request me tonight. The idea sent a thrill of excitement zipping through my body.” - Oaklyn
Dr. Pierce (Callum) is described by Oaklyn as a “Superman” or more precisely a Clark Kent look alike. She doesn’t know that her Astronomy professor was the man who caught her eye at Voyeur. Dr. Pierce knows immediately that the woman who haunted his dreams after viewing one of her performances is a new student of his as she walks in the classroom on her first day. Callum is intelligent, friendly but also secretive and filled with guilt over his burgeoning attraction to Oaklyn. He has all the makings of a devastatingly damaged alpha male hero. He has his “reasons” for being a member of the exclusive club, Voyeur.
Oaklyn is mature beyond her age. She is a petite golden- eyed beauty both caring and compassionate. Her parents struggle with money throughout her upbringing has left its mark. Yet, she is surprisingly forgiving and disciplines herself to keep any resentment about her circumstances in check. I really liked her. I liked how she was written as a character. Her actions and reactions seemed natural and genuine. She is understandably shaken when she thought what she felt from her professor was genuine growing desire, borne of their friendship and time spent together, but then found out through happenstance, that he is a patron of Voyeur and has watched her perform.
“'I felt crazy thinking I had imagined the attraction. That you would look at me a certain way, but you sure did look at me a certain way. You looked at me and saw me naked. Of course, you looked at me.' Tears burned the backs of my eyes as I thought over the friendship we had built and how dumb I must have been to be the only one enjoying it. He was just keeping me around because I turned him on. I’d been a fool.”
Because of their emotional issues there is a full bodied believable angst based on genuine relatable human emotion and not just topical storyline “fluff”. This familiar professor/student trope involves two main characters that are flawed by psychological injury operating on false assumptions about themselves and their relationships utilizing questionable coping skills.
The story is told in alternating 1rst person POV’s. Both characters have a decidedly intense sexuality. As a result, reading this book is like retreating to a lush sensual erotic place in your mind watching their story unfold... a place of pleasure and delight…pain and ultimately healing. The sexual tension is sustained throughout the entire read. This is in and of itself no small artistic narrative feat and perhaps what makes this book so compelling…so entertaining. The erotica is blow your mind hot. Leaving you breathless!!!
The conclusion of this breathless read can only be…of course…what every romance reader craves. Yet, I admire and appreciate how there are measured doses of reality incorporated into future of Callum and Oaklyn.
Can you hear the book beckoning you to watch? It calls to the voyeur in all the hopeless romantics. Entices us with mesmerizing performances from the pen and imagination of this gifted author. Finally, it teaches us a little more about our sexuality… a little bit more about our humanity.
After learning that her parents stole a large chunk of her scholarship money to purchase a new car after her father's car died, Oaklyn Derringer tries desperately to find a way to make the money that will allow her to pay the next semester's tuition. But as it's just before the holiday season, all the jobs have already been filled. Oaklyn is used to living extremely modestly, as her family always lived that way even with her parents both working two jobs. She is at a loss, as she refuses to accept a loan for the stolen money, because of a very bad experience her parents had when they once accepted a loan from former friends. Her best friend then asks if she would consider working at her uncle's sex club, Voyeur, and having no options left, Oaklyn does so. When the next semester begins, she begins to work as an assistant for her irresistible, handsome Astronomy professor, and as they come to know one another her crush, and the mutual chemistry she feels existing between them, flourishes. Unbeknownst to Oaklyn, that her professor has seen her before under much different circumstances.
This generic teacher/student storyline is one I have read previously, but it is very well twisted and developed in this book. Told equally from both Callum's and Oaklyn's perspectives, there are often times where you can understand and appreciate a position from both sides. Interestingly, due to Callum's sexual and emotional immaturity and Oaklyn's somewhat more developed sensitivity and maturity, having experienced deprivation during her formative years, the age difference between them is relatively insignificant.
This was, for the most part, a well written and developed story with two very sympathetic and likeable protagonists. I felt that parts of it were more drawn out than necessary, and left me with a been there/done that feeling, but it wasn't so excessive that it turned me off to the story. I also liked the way the author portrayed the extremely sensitive issue of Callum's prior abuse and PTSD. I have read other books with similar backstories about male childhood sexual abuse, but all of them resulted in a functional male adult who handled his control issues by becoming a dominant. This was handled very differently, with Callum being dysfunctional and often unsuccessfully dealing with his issues or coping in unhealthy ways. I found this to be a lot more honest and, likely, realistic.

É bem devagar? Sim.
E o mocinho é fofo demais hahahah cadelinho, amei.
Yes there is a club, and yes sexual acts are performed there, and yes our heroine works there. But this is like no club I’ve read or heard of before. I actually liked the safety controls that are taken at Voyeur. Firstly, the sexual acts are not to include the paying customers, they are simply there to sit back and enjoy the show from a safe distance.
Secondly, I liked that the individuals working can choose the acts they will participate in, if any at all.
And lastly, I like that partner acts are carried out with the same partner. I can actually understand how/why this would appeal.
Oakley is our heroine and has big dreams and in order to achieve them she has to be able to continue to pay her college tuition. When times become desperate she takes a job at voyeur.
Callum is our Hero. He is a member at voyeur and this is where he first sees Oakley. He is immediately drawn to her though he cannot explain what it is about her. Callum is also Dr Pierce as he teaches physics at college which is where he also discovers Oakley is his student.
This love story is forbidden, there is also an age gap of 10 years, as well as the small matter of both of their links to voyeur. But this is not what I felt when I read this epic love story.
It is incredibly emotional - our hero has suffered past sexual abuse and this plays a big part in the story. Both for his reasons in going to voyeur, and the growth of Callum as a person and the blossoming relationship he shares with Oakley.
Oakley is mature for her 19 years and the age gap wasn’t noticeable in their interactions especially when faced with Callum’s traumatic past. She’s extremely ambitious and for her voyeur is merely a means to an end.
The is some push and pull and they take their sweet time in pulling their heads from their backsides to face up to what they have between them.
The deeper their feelings go, the more conflict Oakley’s job at voyeur causes between them. I actually liked that neither of them were willing to compromise to please the other and they stuck by their feelings.
Obviously I’m super glad that they resolved their issues and got their so very well deserved HEA 🥹.
I also loved both main characters which is quite rare.
⚠️ TW for sexual abuse - described on page.
I couldn’t put this down and for that reason it’s 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 from me!
Voyeur is my first book by Fiona Cole and I loved it so much.
This is an addictive story since you start. Every chapter can pull you into the book until you finish.
Callum and Oaklyn love is so unique and beautiful. One of my favorite stories this year.
Fiona can make you a fan of her writing in seconds.
Callum is a beautiful and successful teacher in the university. But deep down he has his demons and struggles to fight them.
When he meets Oaklyn everything in him changes.
Oaklyn is a beautiful girl that only wants to make her dreams come true. One of them is to have a graduation and help people. Her dream becomes a nightmare when her parents change that.
If you want to know how this will end you need to read this book.
I can't wait to read more books by this beautiful author.
