ZIG comes from the word 'zigzag', a concept based on the fluid, back and forth motion which comes with writing.

Richly pigmented, very creamiy when wet, loved painting with these. They have a different feel than usual watercolors. Dreamy to use, they do bleed and blend into one another which is what I go for at times.
Fun to use and they have beautiful packaging which would really matters for gift giving, I want to buy a larger set in the future. (Note: The gold in this painting is from a different maker). I am beyond satisfied with this purchase.

I'm by no means a profession artist, but I bought this set because they seemed a step up from cheap big box store watercolors. Gotta say, I absolutely love them! The pigment comes out strong and clear after a few very light brush strokes and the colors are very vibrant. The package even comes with a built in palette grid on the underside of the lid so you can test the colors out for yourself and get a handy reference sheet for the future. Can't wait to draw more with these!
