Jack Dillon loves to write fast paced thrillers that have plenty of action. He grew up watching James Bond films and he read every one of the books he could get his hands on. Other authors started to catch his eye, authors such as Clive Cussler, Jack Higgins and more recently Matthew Reilly who all inspired him to write his own adventures.

So far he was written two series with strong leading characters, the Jack Cross series and the ATLAS Force series.

A statistic of the pandemic he was forced into early retirement which wasn't such a bad thing as it gave him the opportunity to write full time which had been a long held dream of his.

Living in a beautiful part of the Derbyshire peak district he takes advantage of the wonderful scenery and when he isn't gazing at it through a window when he should be working he will be finding other ways to procrastinate. Don't worry though he still has plenty of ideas that will eventually find their way into a book pretty soon, or at least that's what he always tells me.

Plans go wrong, they knew it, with it being too quiet. It was to be a hit on the largest drug lord, so what happened. A hacker had a list, didn’t like the pay, and being watched 24/7. He comes to the General with information.They have spent two decades trying to nab Grogan, saying to try bringing him back alive. First I have read by this author, and found it was an interesting op, and how they went about doing it. Easy to follow and enjoyed.

I enjoyed the book, lots of action, nice scenery, but...

Someone didn't pay close enough attention to the manuscript. There were far too many places where commas were missing, a big annoyance to this former journalist. Although I hesitate to criticize the author, he needs to find another phrase to describe how a character's head "exploded in a mist of blood and gore". It was used repeatedly to the point of distraction. A good editor should have, at a minimum, suggested possible changes.

The book is based on action from beginning to end. The author did a good job putting the story together and all the characters fit well together. Jack and Mike worked well. There isn’t a super hero in the story, just guys working to defeat the bad guys. The author worked all the parts so this will be good series. The book was enjoyable and worth reading.

The Death List was my first book by Jack Dillon and the first in this series. Full of action, it has a good plot, although not unique but the characters are well rounded and intriguing and it is well worth a read. I will be going on to read more from this author.
