Yes, it does, one of each.  However, the charger is not the fast charger and it takes approx 5 hours for a charge.  The fast charger is available but costs approx $50-60.

1240 meaning the last number is the voltage so 40 means 40 volts  Walmart goofs up a lot of these ads  . . ship to store and send it back if its  not 40 volts .  2 amp hour battery i believe

40V and it is worth it. 20V batteries are a waste of money now that we have 40V. Easier and faster,

My husband was skeptical when I told him I ordered this chainsaw to trim the alder & small trees on our property. However from the time he hit the start button he was super impressed & the old gas chainsaw remains in the garage. Lightweight and most importantly QUIET! We love it and have told all our friends about it & two are now proud owners also.

I honestly didn't think this saw was going to be nearly as useful as it is. It cuts through up to 7" Trees so far. Very easy to handle and battery lasts for a good few hours. Gotta say I'm not usually impressed, but this saw is great.

After receiving the chainsaw, I was a little disappointed to find it would take 5 hours to charge the battery.  I put it on the charger yesterday afternoon & this morning I took it outside for a "test drive".  Oh my gosh - I am impressed!!!   First, I cut up a large tree (about 14" diameter) that had come down over my fence.  Then I worked on cutting saplings that were 2-6" in diameter.  Also cut them into pieces that were small enough for me to drag.  I'm a 65 yr old woman who is not in the best physical shape but I found this chainsaw very easy to use.  With the weight of my old 14" gas chainsaw, I could only work for about 40-60 minutes before my arms & back were too tired to go any further.  And, I had yet another gas engine to maintain. This morning, I worked for 1 hr 45 min with my new chainsaw.  Sawing, dragging debris to the back, sawing, dragging......  I wore out before the battery did - it was starting to slow down a bit, but I just couldn't do any more.  Now I'm thinking the 5 hr recharge won't be a problem because it's going to take a lot longer for my arms and back to recharge!!!!! HA!!!   LOVE this chainsaw!

First, this wont be a substitute for your heavy duty gasoline saw.  That said, I've used it to cut up a dozen cords of downed wood under 10” over the past three years and even limb some larger downed trees. Pros: quick to put into use, portable since no spare gas needed, one battery typically will cut up a small hardwood, great value for the money. Cons: not as fast as a gas saw, limited by 12” bar (though very few really large trees anyway).

Will handle 95% of most needs

Works, but battery life stinks.  Much inferior to my 20v Craftsman cordless pole saw.  Also, it does NOT leak the bar oil out when sitting.

I order this chainsaw for my wife. It didn't come with a battery. I double checked to make sure I had ordered the one that comes with a battery, cause I know they offer a bare tool also, and I had ordered the one with a battery.

This thing has no power at all,after about 5 times of Barely using it I couldnât cut through a 3 inch branch. I took it back and bought a real chainsaw cheaper than this and work a 10000!!! Times better.

Sucks dont buy!

Can't keep oil in it, it literally just runs out as I am using it.
