Another great book by author Traci Hall. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a honest review Heath a injured ski instructor is on Jolies boat for a wedding cruise for his brother. He has the summer free before he starts a job at a virtual ski place. Jollies runs a charter service with a boat that her grandfather built. It runs but is in need for an engine. Jolie offers Heath a job for the summer as a bartender and he accepts it. Heath a mountain grown snow man adjusts to the ocean summer living and starts rehabilitation to strengthen his leg by doing aqua therapy. There is a spark between Jolie and Heath.... Will Jolie be able to get the engine for her boat? Will Randall who keeps on changing the date for a large event get Jolie to like him and with the money from his event buy a new engine? Jolie Gorden owns a boat that she inherited from her grandfather and uses for her business. People hire her to host parties and she has a regular first mate and bartender. During one of the parties she meets Heath, a guest, who is in need of some cheering up. After some discussion she finds out he worked as a bartender in the past and happens to have the next few months free. He may solve her problem of her regular bartender taking three months off. Heath has suffered a skiing accident 9 months ago and is still healing. He has nothing at home to get back too so he considers her job offer. The problem is thing start to get complicated when feelings develop deeper then they planned. Meanwhile Jolie is trying to nurse her boat along until she can afford to buy a new engine. This book has a surprise ending. I just love this author's books. I find them so hard to put down.

I love this book! I always enjoy reading Traci's books. This book is about a woman who is in the beginning of her boat charter career which the boat has engine issues and needs to have enough charter parties to pay for a used engine. Also her bartender will leave for the summer and needs a temporary one to cover till he comes back. Along comes a recuperating bitter best man of the wedding party being chartered and the story begins. I enjoy the insight of feelings that Traci's character's go through and the flow of the story and how real to life she makes them. I miss them when the story ends. I have received this book free in exchange for an honest review. Read her books and you will enjoy them.

If you enjoy intrigue and romance, you will love this book. Traci Hall does a great job developing the characters in this book. Jolie has a great job which she loves and meets a guy (Heath) at a wedding party on her boat just when she needs a bartender. Heath, a ski instructor, is recovering from a ski accident and may never ski again. A perfect time to meet and fall in love. There is intrigue and suspense which kept me reading until I finished the book. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

I was given a free copy of Masquerade by the Sea in exchange for an honest review. This book is one in a series of well-written works based in South Florida. The main characters, Jolie Gordon and Heath Hamilton, come from two different backgrounds (tropical heat vs. mountains) and both have suffered in different ways and are trying to improve their lives. Jolie is a sweet stunning spirit who isn't deterred by the brooding and hunky Heath. She wants to help him conquer both his physical and subjective pain. The secondary characters are all interesting and the sweet and optimistic Jolie never suspects the nefarious motives of certain individuals. The positive impact of Jolie on Heath is wonderful. I especially liked the pleasure-boat scenario. In all, the narrative was engaging and a worthwhile read.

Ex ski instructor Heath Hamilton boards the Masquerade for his brother’s wedding party charter, angry at all he’s lost due to a random accident on the slopes. Excruciating pain keeps Heath from trusting that he will ever be whole again. Left with the pieces of who he used to be, nobody is more surprised than Heath when he accepts Jolie’s offered job as a bartender on the yacht for the summer.
Opening her heart is a risk, but Jolie recognizes in Heath a kindred spirit, forced to rebuild after circumstances changed the planned course. They spend the steamy South Florida summer daring to love again, fearing that life does not always go according to plan.

I have read several books by this author and liked them. This one I would have to rate as "okay." I liked it but its not a favorite. Even with good main characters, beautiful settings and good secondary people, I still have to give it 3 Stars on Amazon. Maybe because of the slower pacing of the story. But then, towards the end of the book it does pull out a surprise or two that I didn't see coming. That I did like and there is a HEA ending.
